Dr. Birch is wonderful! She is the best - I'd give a review of 5 stars if it was just her but unfortunately the girls at the front desk are horrible. Rude, not caring, basically you can tell they hate their job. Anytime I've gone there nothing but attitude from them. I get the job they have is difficult dealing with the public, but if you're unhappy there's always indeed.com!
I have been coming to this clinic my whole life and there has always been a gross lack of care here. For 6 years I've experienced health issues that have needed the attention of a specialist, but this office does not have your health in mind and are only interested in billing for the 5 MINUTES they give you. Dr. Jenkis has literally pointed to a paper sign saying 5 mins only! which I found out is illegal. This negligence has eventually lead to a diagnosis of Breast Cancer for me. When there staff called to inform me about my diagnosis, it was a Friday night and I was basically told "good luck with that", and that's been all the care I've received from them! They cycle through temporary doctors all the time my results were nearly lost because of this, and the full-time doctors are either not interested, emotionally turned off, or are Googling your symptoms. The staff are rude and have failed to call me for important test dates. If you are a human that requires pap tests, this clinic uses outdated metal instruments, and each time I've gone there they've NOT lubricated their instruments and have been torn. They also made fun of my 70 year old mother when she got her pap. These people should not be in medicine. It takes a LOT for me to sit a write a bad review, but please stay away from this place. My family is looking for a new GP and I am debating on filing an official complaint.
My experience with the new Dr Malhi has been wonderful. Would not recommend a GP more.
I was a patient of Dr. Edworthy and now with Dr. Hoang who replaced him. I agree with previous posts she is rude and uncaring. I recently went to get my prescriptions renewed and she said she wouldn't renew one and I would have to make a separate appointment to discuss. I also wanted to talk to her about a back issue and she refused to discussed said I would have to make a separate appointment as she would only deal with one item at a time. I asked her is I could make an appointment and discuss both and she said no only one item per appointment. When I tried to talk to her about this practice she walked out and left me sitting in the room. Also when you phone for an appointment the assistants want to know what you wish to discuss with your doctor which is not right. That between myself and my doctor not the receptionist sitting where everyone can hear what they are saying. I contacted the College of Physicans and Surgeons to find out if this was standard practice. They have a letter to doctors on their website recommending that this practice is not in the best interest of good patient care however I have to make a formal complaint if I want it addressed. I am considering doing so.
I inquired if this doctor's office was accepting new clients. Quick to answer, but even quicker to get off of the phone. She did answer my question, but pretty much hung up immediately after answering the question. Absolutely no professionalism at the front desk. In a time when so many people are looking for work, you would like people would care a little bit more about the jobs they have. I am sure someone will be happy to answer the calls and treat clients with a bit more professionalism.
Doctors are nice but the overall experience are cold and not friendly. It's unfortunate, because it maybe an indicator that the admin/front desk hates their jobs? And/or lack of training on customer service?
My doctor Dr John edworthy was great because he actually listened and Cared but has unfortunately retired. I was then given Dr. Trung binh hoang who is very new to be a doctor i believe. She is very inconsiderate, unkind, not empathetic and doesn't care for the patients well being. I was in a car accident and ICBC asked for a form to be filled out by the doctor and patient. Dr hoang was reading the questions out loud so I answered which she told me to shut up because she was trying to fill out the document. She then continued and didn't ask me a thing. She is so rude, doesn't pay attention to your concerns, speeds through the appointment and doesn't care. DO NOT HAVE HER AS YOUR DOCTOR!!!!!! SHE WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE WITH A SMILE ON HER FACE!!
Dr Trung Hoang is not a family physician that you want. This Dr is rude and very uncooperative as well as rude and unhelpful. If you ask for a refill on a medication that can't remember due to seizures and that if you don't have it you will be hospitalized she will tell to come back when you figure out what your taking and its right there on her screen and she tells you that the medication you think it might be is wrong. This a Dr that is putting people at a great health risk. She also prescribes medication that she doesn't even know you need. You go in for cold/flus symptoms she refuses to a thorough check up and tells you she can't do anything and go to the hospital as she doesn't have the time for you. I would never place my family in this Dr's care. Having a good bedside manner is one thing but having a Dr that listens and shows empathy is so important to our health and this woman has none of that.
I wish I could give Dr Trung Hoang a 0/5. She is the most rude, insincere and fast paced-get out of my office - doctor I have ever met. I have been going to this location for almost thirty years and my entire family before me. I'm so sad that Dr Edworthy left this practice and that he was replaced with garbage. Dr Hoang does not make you feel welcome, like a friend or even remotely that she will care for you. I went in for something very personal and she bypassed it as though it was nothing. At the end of the appointment I asked for her to take a look quickly at a mole on my back, because my husband forgot to mention when he made he appointment for me and she huffed and puffed and had the ODACITY to tell me to go make another appointment. Then afterwards trying to make amends by saying she'd take a quick look, saying there was some discolouration and then hushing me on my way. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Goodbye. My family and I are going elsewhere.
Shocked at the level of unprofessionalism that is at this establishment. The front staff are extremely rude & not considerate to what a patient might be going through. I get that they are busy but busy does not condone a condescending attitude.
