The story of how Aunt Beth's Cookies began started with humble beginnings over three decades ago. Ted & Beth Modlin owned a convenience store at the corner of Fir & McKinley Highway in Mishawaka. Beth was the baker, and she would stock the display case with freshly baked donuts every morning. She thought it would be a good to make up some chocolate chip cookies with the small stand mixer she kept at the store, and keep the display case full. Soon she noticed that customers were raving about her cookies, and she was making more and more just to keep up with demand. Soon afterwards, the Modlins opened up Aunt Beth's Cookies, and ran the bakery successfully for almost 30 years!
When the Modlins were looking to retire, they sold their business to a local chef. With the change in ownership, the tradition of keeping Aunt Beth's Cookies continued with the same great time tested recipes and the bakers who worked with Beth for decades.
Aunt Beth's is a local bakeshop specializing in gourmet cookies and muffins using the highest quality ingredients. All cookies are made in house from scratch in small batches, and the cookies are flash frozen only hours after being baked. All you have to do is thaw or warm in the microwave or oven for that fresh baked aroma and taste. Our gourmet cookies are thick, soft, and chewy, reminiscent of the kind your grandma would've baked in her kitchen.
