We were on a vacation and selected this hotel on short notice, while selecting we were conscious of the reviews though short of options finally went ahead with the reservation.  Prior to reserving the facility it is important that the visitor / tourist go through the terms and conditions applicable at the facility, also a call in to the hotel should help clarify any doubts regarding the policies. We were very conscious of the check in time and timed our drive from Quebec accordingly, our arrival was 20 minutes before the closure of the check in time and was seamless.  The hotel is located on the water front with an amazing view, there is direct water access with a bench nearby for a picnic as well.  As you park your car at the premises the checkin requires a two step procedure:  1. Wash your hands at the basin with soap, water and paper towels available 2. Wear your mask and ring the bell, the owner answers and checks you in  There is enough signage reminding you to wear your mask at all times, and while checking in we did the same, but while in the hotel premises it was a bit more relaxed. The Room was small yet comfortable though the lack of adequate ventilation was a bit of a turn off,  there was no view but no complains there as we didnt expect a view :  The rest room facilities are reserved room wise though located outside the room in a common area, so absolutely no concerns or issues with this arrangement, the only mild inconvenience is you have to walk 20 seconds from your room for rest room, basin access or shower access. The toilet was sanitized when we checked-in so this was definitely very reassuring.  The place is built quite securely with:  1. Main door access via 1 key 2. Second door access via 2nd key 3. Your room access via 2nd key 4. Rest room access via 2nd key 5. Shower access via 3rd key  All 3 keys are provided in duplicate for your convenience, yes there is a fine in case you lose the keys!  There is a laundromat facility also at site and the owner helps with detergent and fabric softener for a small fee.  Overall an amazing place, you need to have a car or bike to reach this place as public transport is non existant in the location.  Would love to visit here again and stay here in the future!

Very clean. I stayed for one night on my way. Some negative reviews are exaggerating their experience. At the time I checked in there weren’t that many rules and the check in was easy. The checkout even easier :-.Rooms: 4/5

This place was overall terrible considering the price paid and the experience $150/night. The room was small, outdated and had a very strong musty smell. I would consider this borderline a hostel for the price of a standard 3 star hotel.  Although we arrived late this happens sometines, we were travelling from far away they insisted on charging us a late check in fee though they never revealed how much until we arrived of $50. This, even though we had spoken to them 3 times over the phone before arriving.  The cherry on the Sunday was their refusal to accept our service dog in the motel room. Québec/Canadian law prohibits the refusal of a certified service dog in any establishment. They charged us the full price and forced us to keep our dog in the car overnight.

Terrible just like Alcatraz prison. You will have 5 keys to get in, very scary, dark, Expensive too, 575$ for 2 nights…I stop describing this place because I want to forget it! Have a nice stay if you go there and don’t forget to smile for the cameras all over the corners.Rooms: 1/5

Was charged $60 more than the price I booked over internet. Bugs in rooms. Extremely small rooms and showers. No air conditioner in the hot 35 degree summer nights. No elevators either. The worst hotel experience in my trip..Rooms: 1/5

If you want to have a "Shinning" experience this is the place... Otherwise you better sleep in your car than there. The owner is NOT friendly and you'll get a cold welcome, beware! Room are small, dark and if you have claustrophobia you'll want to run away! Expensive for what you've got! Find a better place for your stay

Absolutely horrible place. The owner is unfriendly and ignores guests. We arrived there shortly before the reception was open from 4 pm so we wandered a bit around the carpark and the building looking for any help. Some lady was doing gardening at side of the building. She did not make a sign that she was seeing us. Not a word. It turned out later that she was an owner. She was not polite after too. The place and rooms were dirty and smelly. Plenty of signs around advising of what was forbidden to do. We got badly bitten at night by bed bugs.

Avoid this place at all costs. The Woman who owns it is a raving lunatic. She was extremely hostile with us, once she took payment the verbal assault began. It was a bizarre experience, she does not allow people to speak, she accuses you of doing things maybe someone did at her hotel in the past and she will steal some of your deposit money to tip her housekeeper. If you say no she will bring out her gigantic husband and he will threaten you some more. Sainte Anne Du Monte is such a lovely place it is a shame this woman stains it. She would be better suited as a prison guard.

Its a scam stay away!!!!!!  I do not know where to start with this review Bad mannered Staff and dirty rooms! I payed 137$ for one room with a sofa for one night and i have live befor 10am they charged me 34$ more for my 8 year oldkid My wife has a animals alergic And in the hotel it s written that it s forbidden to the animals, but the owner has a dog. The room it was small dark and dirty "not update" I say god why im here i have to live right now i return to the reception and i talk to the staff "big fat one eating a spaghetti and he smells with his black dog i give him the key and i tell him :repaid me plz ido not like the room It's cleaner for us to spend the night in our car And gess what he tall me " no "  and no negotiations Very bad experience!!!!!!!!!'

Two of us had to sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed. Owner is unfriendly and the rooms are very small.
