Atlantic bakery made a cake of my daughter birthday, Really very yummy and fresh cake .Thanku so much

Been coming here since the early 2000s, always loved it, we order cakes multiple times per year and they've always been fresh and delicious. The new owners don't know how to treat customers though, the cake we ordered had very bitter, almost sour icing and after calling the store to talk to her about it she basically blamed us, said the bad, chemical taste would be coming from the icing of the colours we picked even though we've gotten those colours before with no problem, after tasting everything individually we also confirmed it was the white icing she says she makes in-store, not the coloured icing they order in. After asking her if she could even compromise by making a smaller cake for us instead of the larger size we originally ordered or getting a refund, since this was a birthday cake, her solution was "bring the cake, I'll scrape off all of the icing and reapply a new layer" - anyone with any experience in cooking can tell you why this is an insane idea. Hopefully some other bakeries in the area treat locals better. Edit: adding one thing after the owner's response, ignoring all of the PR nonsense that doesn't matter about others loving them which, great, we did too... previously, only going to address that they're making it seem like we were trying to scam them out of a second cake when, after bringing up the option of making a smaller cake than what was ordered, we ourselves mentioned bringing back the first cake when picking the replacement up, not that we wanted to keep it as well, which was immediately refused, it was never about the money but clearly the point is going over their heads entirely because handing them your money and keeping your mouth shut is what it means to be their loyal customer

Disappointed with a cake I ordered. It looked like I had made it, not a profesional. Considering the money I paid I expected better. I still took it because I had a birthday party to run. I was hopeful it would taste good at least. It did not. I ordered red velvet and it was not. It tasted like vanilla that they just added food coloring to. An absolute disappointment. The candies looked like they had been watered before they put them on the cake. Some were falling off. I will not be ordering any cakes from here again and do not recommend them for cakes.

My favourite bakery ever! The quality and service is amazing! I would highly recommend for anyone looking for cakes, baked goods, bread or aloo patties.

The cake was tasting so bad. I had ordered Black Forest cake and it was not at all sweet and was full of sour jam. Very disappointed. None of the guests had the cake and everything was thrown into the garbage. Huge price for a tasteless cake.

Worst bakery. I bought pastries. It has no flavour just a bread and white cream without any flavor. Please guys you need to add some flavours to your food. It was tasteless.

A staple in the Malton community!! Probably one of the only places to get pastries and fresh bread in the area. Always fresh & well made! They’re on the market to sell and will be closing soon so definitely head over and show some support before they’re gone.

They made my daughter’s birthday cake, did an amazing job, affordable and quick service too.
