NEVER deal with this insurer. It is impossible to contact my broker. Once you finally get sent to someone to help you, the call drops and you need to call back. They don’t answer emails. They charge me even though I cancelled my policy. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The people who actually show up to work are usually kind but it’s so rare to even get someone to help that it’s not even worth trying to contact them.
My name is Charles Smith....I had a job interview with Gallagher ...I travelled hours from central Ontario to their office in downtown Toronto andwas interviewed by a man who did not have the courtesy to introduce mhimself or answer any of my questions..I had the application with me to fill out...He said don't bother filling it out ...I have never been treated so rudely...I have 30 years + all lines claims handling experience and travelled miles only to be turfed out of Gallagher's office by this extremely rude man.!
I called to cancel my insurance and sent them my cancellation form several weeks before my renewal. I subsequently sent them a follow up question and never received a response. Today I sent my broker an email saying it was URGENT, no response or answer to either that email or my numerous voicemails. I'm stressed because my policy was supposed to be cancelled and instead I was charged on my renewal! With everything going on, I can't financially afford this! They don't seem to care! I'm so upset.
They may be able to get a good rate, but it's is very difficult and frustrating trying to actually call just to speak with one of the brokers! It's impossible to get through , you must leave a message and wait for a call back. And they only can call while i'm at work. so its back and forth back and forth constantly! like a joke. Makes me want to switch companies already. All I had was a simple question that would have taken 2 minutes to answer but nope. Hopefully it's not an urgent issue you need to get taken care of because good luck!

I have tried numerous times to reach a certain individual and no response. I have left over 4 messages. Not impressed and my company has them as a contact for our organization? I would not recommend these guys.
I have seldom felt so frustrated dealing with a company. I now have to check further to see what possible statutes they have broken and if I should also take civil action as well as notifying the appropriate government agencies.
I have called this brokerage 4 times now and keep either being hung up on or disconnected.
Extremely difficult to get in contact with these people. Avoid this company!
