What I thought was a great experience turned into a horrible one. Went and purchased a new fridge and that experience was amazing. Went back and bought a new kitchen table set. Got it home table was damaged in the box. Called and about a month and a half later finally receiving a new table and for it to be delivered. Now after explain many times there is only a couple time windows that work for my family the lady on the phone was just rude and nasty. I got told there is no other option or a time that would work for my family and basically I need to get over it if I want the table exchanged Cause this is what has been working for them. I am very upset and not happy with the customer service from young’s appliance one bad apple spoils the bunch. I will be taking my money somewhere else in the future.
I was assisted by Flora this week. I was mattress shopping, Flora was extremely helpful and kind! I purchased my item through easy and quick financing, and had the best delivered within 1.5 days!
We have had good experiences since but our first experience was pretty rocky. We went in to buy over $6,000 in furniture and placed a very large order. We were told that our bed frame was in stock when we paid, it is a big reason why we selected the bed frame. Weeks later we find out it was sold out from under us and we would have to wait for many months now and they provided us with a loaner. Great customer service and they made an effort to make up for this issue but the fact remains that they took payment and couldn’t deliver on a promise to a customer. We made the purchase in late November/early December 2021 and we are finding out that it is finally getting back in stock but it is on back order until July 2022. They told us to call and ask about it periodically but sometimes when we call we catch the strong impression that we are annoying them. We call every other month. We just called and they spoke to my wife and basically told her she shouldn’t be impatient stating that some people have been waiting since September 2021 for the bed frame. We never asked for furniture that wasn’t in stock and we came to the store to buy furniture we could have delivered within a month or two. We will continue to shop there because we support our local community and there is great selection and the staff is friendly in person. I just really want the company to be aware that they should train staff to never promise something is in stock when it is not to make the sale. This is a great company and they are doing a great job in this pandemic. The prices are extremely competitive and We love our stuff!
We just built a new house. We purchased all of our appliances and most of our furniture at Young's. We also do most of our purchasing for our business there. Not sure that will continue after this. Our buying experience was amazing. Chris in the appliance department is wonderful to work with and I can't recommend him enough. Furniture has also been great. However, the service department leaves something to be desired. Our brand new oven was making a loud squealing noise whenever it was heating up. Christ got me in touch with the service department quickly. The technician called and talked with me about what we think is going on and he ordered the part. However, we scheduled for him to come out at 9am and when he didn't show up by 9:20 I texted him to see if he was still coming. He said he wouldn't be out until the afternoon. I explained that I had stayed home from work for the appointment. He then called me and became angry and said he never said 9am and now he wouldn't be here at all today. I asked why as a few minutes ago he said he'd be here in the afternoon. He said, "I don't have time for this," and said I would now have to wait until next week for him to come out. He was yelling, rude, and extremely unprofessional. We called the service manager and she said she could send out a different technician but was unsure when and clearly did not believe us. So buyer beware; buying is the easy part. Just hope you don't ever need service.
Great service. Never tried to sell us what we didn't want or up sell. Just purchased our third fridge upgrade, second sofa and chair set, and already have washer, dryer, stoves tables, and chairs from them. Always great service and our last delivery guys were hard working and professional. Will continue to return here. Update: still great service. Just purchased yet another chair and some wall art.
Staff friendly welcoming and knowledgeable. She provided information and allowed us the opportunity to make the best choice for our needs. Paperwork quick and delivery free. Store very clean and organized.
Just wanted to give a shout out to all employees at Young’s Appliance in Alpena. We always get great service no matter who we are working with. Tammy the best. Not just in the movie but in the sales crew at Young Appliance. The kitchen appliances and service are phenomenal. Many brands ,styles and power options. Beautiful assortment of bedroom furnishings and mattresses for the best rest of a lifetime. The sheep run to the pasture when they see you have a sleeping system from the good,better, best bedroom mattress system from YOUNGS. Night, night and sweet dreams . Uncle Pat.
This store has very friendly and knowledgeable personnel. Lots of quality stock. This is a must see for your household furniture and appliances.
