I have been lucky enough to photograph a few weddings here and can honestly say it's one of my favourite venues! It's such a stunning spot with such beautiful natural light. I highly recommend looking here if you're getting married!
I really enjoyed going to this art gallery so much !!!nThursday is free admission, so that’s already a 5 stars for me but also the range they have for art is so good !!nI love that we get to also see the unique style of each curator and their interests at the time they added pieces to the collection. Honestly, you should definitely check out this gem if you can especially on Thursdays!.nAnd don’t forget to visit the gift shop on your way out—they have so many cool items there, too!
I had an amazing time at the Art Gallery of Hamilton! The collection is diverse and beautifully curated, featuring both Canadian and international artists. I loved the mix of classic and contemporary pieces, and the representation of Indigenous and women artists was especially impressive. The space itself is well-lit and inviting, making it a perfect spot to explore art. Plus, free admission on Thursdays is a fantastic bonus! Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area.
Nice quiet gallery with interesting art. It's not a large gallery so you can see everything in one visit. We visited with our toddler. The miniature city art displays including the VW van were a hit with our child. We wish there was a kid friendly area where we could set our kid free to explore yet not worry about her destroying the art.
I went to a big place with Daddy. It was called the art gally, but I think it’s just a big house for pictures. We walked in, and there were so many big pictures on the walls. Some were tall like giants, and some were small like my toy cars. I wanted to touch them but Daddy said no, they’re special and don’t like being touched. I asked if the pictures could talk, and Daddy said maybe they could if I listened hard enough.nnThere was one picture that looked like a lot of squiggly lines, but Daddy said it was a tree. It didn’t look like any tree I’ve seen. I asked him, “Why is the tree so funny?” and he smiled. “Sometimes trees are different in art,” he said. I didn’t get it, but I liked the funny tree anyway.nnWe went to another room, and I saw a big purple square. I said, “I want that one!” Daddy laughed, but I don’t think he wanted it for our house. Then there was a picture with a big face. It was scary, like the man might jump out of the picture! But Daddy held my hand, and I wasn’t scared anymore.nnBefore we left, Daddy asked, “Did you like the art?” I nodded, even though I didn’t know why I liked it. The pictures were just there, and they made my brain think about stuff, like how my crayons look on paper but bigger and better. I want to go again soon.
