Argo Shoes and Medical Supplies

I love this store so much! The location is really easy to find and near the centre point mall where I go often, so it's not out of my reach to stop by. The owner is really nice and helpful and gave me an extra discount off of the sales price which made the shoes really affordable. Highly recommend to everyone I know!

We were not impressed with this store. The hours daily are 12 noon to 5 pm. When I telephoned at 12:30 pm on September 11, 2017 I was met with a generic recording I had contacted this store. There is no option to leave any telephone message. When you bring an elderly person to a destination that clearly states online it is open you haul your butt over there and ensure it is open. This was not the case on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Argo Shoes & Medical Supplies located in Thornhill. At 2:30 pm the store was still closed despite a red illuminated flashing OPEN sign on the front window. We also knocked for ten minutes and still no one opened the door. My email to this company reached the owner who contacted me later that afternoon near 5 pm. At first he denied being absent, then advised he was at an appointment, and his store would be open until 7 pm this evening. We returned to this store. It would have been polite to have welcomed us into the store instead of saying: "You called three times today, what do you want?" I should have taken that queue and left. There was a small table of shoes reduced 50% off but they either had no price tag or the current price was near $300. Shoes on display were mostly women's summer sandals and many were very stylish, pretty, made in the USA and quite unique. Prices were hundreds of dollars and some were made in China. There was a suede black shoe for my mother but the price tag was astronomical. Their mobile website indicates they sell a lot of shoes particularly with wide widths to accommodate senior citizens and their foot ailments. I asked to see them and the owner held up a pair of Birkenstocks and called them orthopaedic shoes. There was nothing else to see. If you are searching for footwear for senior citizens this is not the place to go. As for medical supplies you can order compression stockings here and the medical supplies were insignificant. Finding parking is difficult. Immediately around the corner half a dozen spots are all reserved for another business leaving you the only option of parking in the rear.
