Arakelian Rugs

John Balayan the staff at Arakelian Rugs are a terrific group of professionals. I have been purchasing oriental carpets from them and having them cleaned for over 20 years and every time I have been extremely happy with these interactions and my final selections. The rugs are always remarkable: beautiful works of art I am pleased to have in my home. The selection is vast. Quality is superb, and everyone is gracious and patient with me as we go through selections. They always assure a comfortable, patient and even fun process. John is always cordial, cooperative and ever so willing to assure my satisfaction with my decisions and purchases. John is an expert who certainly knows his business, his inventory, each rug's origin, pattern story, fiber, dye process, and place in the vast array and history of these remarkable pieces of art. The service from the staff is impeccable, everyone is helpful and well aware of the products they sell. The restorers are experts, they do beautiful work. The cleaning crew is thorough and treat my rugs with great care. The delivery people are always respectful in my home and absolutely want to place rugs exactly where I want them. For purchasing fine oriental rugs, cleaning, restoring, or just getting a new pad for under the carpets, I can think of no other merchant who does such a consistently fine job!

Great experience with cleaning and repairing our rugs...and moth-proofing them. Year's ago, we purchased one of them from Arakelian. They actually brought a few over to the house to help us decide which would work best. This was so helpful.

I have shopped for oriental rugs all over the world for over 35 years. The owner, John Balayan, is knowledgeable and helpful. I've bought a rug and had several washed and repaired. The prices are reasonable and the quality of the repair work very good. The only minor issue is turnaround time for repair and washing, which can take some time, as the rugs are sent out.

Incredibly knowledgeable and professional. Cleaned an expensive vegetable-died Tibetan carpet for us beautifully for a reasonable price. John responded promptly and is lovely to deal with. A great resource!

Arakalian Rugs is the most experienced and professional oriental carpet cleaner Iv'e ever experienced. The courtesy is exceptional. They will pick up your rug, clean it, and deliver it, and put it back in place. They also do repairs. I would definitely recommend them.
