Apple Island Resort is a beautiful campground. The sites are spacious, spotless, and very well Maintained. The staff was friendly, helpful, and always ready to help. We cannot say enough good things about our stay there. If we are looking to visit this area again, Apple Island will be our destination.
Our family occupied the three small cabins and had a nice time there. It isn't terribly far from the bathrooms and showers. The staff were very friendly at both check in and check out. Their sewer facilities are tucked back there and you can hear the pump or constant hum of some utilities. There was also a skunk in the area that seems to be a permanent resident and perhaps burrowing under the cabins. The tent sites really have no divide or privacy. There is a short walk to an overlook or Lake Champlain. The pool was nice but seemed a bit dated. There are adult swim hours and family hours, a small playground and a country store where you can get coffee and breakfast sandwiches as well as other grocery items and souvenirs. Playground: Small play structure on the hill near the tent sites. More geared toward five and under age. Restrooms: Restrooms were very clean and had multiple stalls and private showers.
Great location on Lake Champlain. I debated between 4 or 5 stars. My suggestions for improvement would be the cost of $10 for "green" fire wood required wax fire starter log, no air channels or cable, no patio, and empty toilet paper in bathroom. I expected more for a "premium" site especially after coming from Twin Mountain KOA in NH. The campground design definitely focused on motorhomes front window views instead of travel trailers. The positives that changed my review, quiet, great views, GREAT sunsets every night, Bingham & Moss Glenn & Middlebury & Texas waterfalls, Spirit of Ethan Allen III, Mount Mansfield gondola ride, IdleTyme brewery, and Farmhouse Tap & Grill. Favorites : Otter Creek Brewery Black an Tan was an experiment by the brewers. Wow! There were many selections on tap that were worth the visit. My wife also enjoyed Cold Hollow Cider & Woodchuck visits. We stayed 5 nights.
Staying here for a week with the Chesapeake Allergos on a destination rally. Welcomed by staff. Sites large but not what was expected. Each row of sites are step down with wild flowers in between causing us to do a lot more walking.
The nicest Resort we have stayed at on our travels across New England. The facilities are new and so nice. The library and workout room are incredible. The spots are big and level. The camp store is so nice and has everything you need or possibly forgot. The views are amazing. All of the people staff and residents couldn't have been nicer. If I could give 10 stars I would.
Great location, and the staff is friendly and tends to your every need. Pool, hot tub, common area, bathhouses, museum, walking trails, views of the water, boat rentals...everything you could want. Highly recommend this campground.
Nice campground Could use some maintenance- yard work Even after speaking with General manager not sure why we are in a "platinum " site amd paid extra for it‍‍ beautiful view of Lake Champlain when other rvs not blocking it!
My family had a great stay at the cabins here. They are barebones with only beds provided with the option to rent linens, but the price was extremely affordable especially compared to the outrageous hotels and vacation rentals we looked at. The staff was super friendly, helpful and everything was run very well. Showers were clean and the little general store they operate had a good selection of items that was very convenient. We weren't here long enough to enjoy the trails and events but they are worth mentioning as it shows the effort this place puts into their facility and community. Highly recommend staying here!
Wow, great location, outstanding RV park with everything at your fingertip. We love our spot that allows us a great location but the park is so clean with so much to offer. I did have to work 2 days while on this trip and the WiFi is great and allowed me to do everything I needed then go have some fun. This is a great spot if your passing through or staying for longer stays.
We spent 4 days here at site AL002. This site was great. Tons of room, pretty level, an outstanding view of the lake and nice and shaded. We where extremely happy with our site choice. None of the sites are bad, all are huge and level. There is some road noise, minimal, but the views are worth it. The resort staff where some of the friendliest we have ever met. This also goes for the seasonals too. There's a ton of seasonal sites here, all well maintained, no eye sores and everyone we spoke to where welcoming. Park is very pet friendly, golf course on site is an added bonus. The store is huge, and has excellent grinders. They had live music one night and a food truck. Pool is clean and they have a great fitness center. If I could give this place more stars I would. We would definitely come back and recommend staying here. Next time we will rent the pontoon to explore the lake, which is available on site as well!!
