Good thing this record store is right beside my daughter’s school. So I always make sure to stop by whenever I pick her up. The location is somewhat hidden along Tyner St. But is surely record haven once you find the place. Lots of mainstream pop and jazz, classic and symphony selections here. Price is pretty decent especially the used ones. Records are clean, sleeved and ready to play on your turntable. I highly recommend these local record store to anyone starting and building up their vinyl collections. I wish they have a variety of metal, punk and hardcore music as well. But overall, it’s one of my happy place.
Great selection of records, well priced and in excellent condition. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Apollo Music is always my first choice for new and used vinyl.
Apollo is my favourite record store in the lower mainland. Mike has super high standards, he prices things very fair, and I almost always find something interesting there.. Just a great store.
These folks have been around for years and I just rediscovered them after last being at their store when they were on St.Johns St in PoMo back in the mid 90s. Gentlemen working the counter was super nice and lets you browse all the records in peace but if you have any questions they are more then willing to help and chat about all things music : Ended up purchasing a few records here and I will definitely be back! Storefront is a little hidden as it's in an industrial office complex next to an auto-shop so please make sure to be extra vigilant when looking for their door as it's pretty indiscreet! Highly recommend them and love being able to support small local businesses :
Great selection of new and used records. Note: Google maps takes you to their back door so you may have to go around the building to find the front door #8. It is a nondescript door with a small Apollo Music sign within a larger industrial building.
Huge collection of vinyl records. Very good prices cool guys. Total hidden gem. Well worth a visit. They also have a massive selection upstairs for only a $1 a piece. Go check them out!!!
Apollo is one of three record shops I frequent: they have an amazing dollar floor [yes, you heard me, FLOOR], as well as a great selection of $1.99 45's. They have tons of great new arrivals that come in [and go out] very quick. I love popping by for a sift through. The guys who work there are great; super helpful and I appreciate being able to dig through all the new bins. A must visit. As well, records are CLEAN. I very rarely have to deep clean any records I buy here.
I rarely write reviews, but my experience was amazing. I admit I have never walked into a record store and I was there looking for a gift for my partner. Tyler was so incredibly amazing, he helped me many times, and showed me affordable options instead of pushing a more expensive price on me. He was super genuine and even called a friend who repairs old turntables and got me in contact with him! This was so amazing, I got 4 records and tomorrow I pick up my turntable! Please check this place out, they have amazing prices.
It's a nice music shop but didn't have the kind of selection I was looking for. If you like rock, jazz and classical from the pre-2000's you are in luck.
I won't go anywhere else for used records. You can trust the quality here. They are fairly priced based on condition. He fixed my Opa's old turn table and set me up with an amp and speakers. Love this place!!
