Aomori Sushi

I was taken here by a friend for my birthday and even though it is Korean owned the sushi is very well prepared and the food excellent. They seem to specialize in maki rolls but their sashimi and nigiri Sushi is excellent and very well prepared, the staff are very friendly and very focused on customer service and quality everything was excellent the only problem is that we ordered way too much even though they did warn us! regardless nothing like a next day Sushi snack! The place is small but comfortable and cozy a great place to bring you family or even a first date you won’t be disappointed!

I had gone in on Sunday for lunch as I was craving sushi but my boyfriend had brought in food from outdoors. Since the place was deserted I assumed it would have been fine that he ate his own food and I could order and eat my lunch there. But the waitress came by and told us that there is no outdoor food even though there is no sign saying that, she said that she would let it go this time and we said thank you. It was clear they didn’t want us there, even though we were the only customers, so I just ordered one roll and planned to get out of there quickly and go somewhere else instead. But, then the chef came to our table and told us that we should have ordered more food and that it wasn’t worth his time for $6. He told us that next time we should order more food, the situation was very uncomfortable and I wanted to leave immediately. I would have understood if it was busy but this was very rude. On top of that the sushi was overpriced, $6 for an avocado and cream cheese roll.

Such wonderful people here with great prices on really yummy sushi. I normally get their assorted sushi and dynamite roll. They have a reward program so you can work towards free sushi! Will be back, thank you!

The sushi itself was standard but I ordered Toro nigiri via doordash and they gave me tuna nigiri instead. It may have been an honest mistake but I was very disappointed either way.

I have been going to this place for many years, it was recommended by my friend and I have never regretted it. Staff are super polite and friendly, food is served in a timely order and the food is so delicious, and very reasonably priced, I love supporting local family owned restaurants.

I am a regular at this place. The sushi is always delicious and affordable. I can't wait until dine in is available so I eat in with my friends.

I have actually been a regular customer at Aomori Sushi for the past five years or so, and the quality and pricing of their food is spectacular! The staff are beyond friendly and the chef is very attentive to detail and additional requests. Melissa has given me some of the best customer service I have ever recieved, and I know that I’ll never stop dining in from today onwards. They truly are the best sushi in the Newton area!

Good local place always good sushi. Bonus sometimes free drinks with takeout or free spring rolls on eat in.
