THERE WAS A CAT SITTING OUTSIDE THE STORE! Random and very friendly neighborhood cat just chilling on the outdoor patio and it let us pet it!! It even jumped on my friend’s shoulders. So cute and just for the cat I’d give this place an EXTRA 5 stars on top of 5/5 stars. Super wonderful experience! The woman there was super kind and lovely :- The icecream was great and more mild on the sweetness, which was nice. They had very interesting flavours! We really liked the soursop flavour, plus the fact that there was pulp in the icecream. The guides mint, coffee, and the lemon one was also great! A cheerful, quieter/comfortable place with great icecream, staff, and a park nearby to sit and enjoy it. Plus you might see the CAT!!!
Amazing ice cream and service!! A great selection of flavours. The coffee, banana cream pie and lemon cream pie are amazing - I can't wait to try more.
Really yummy ice cream! I had the lemon meringue pie and mint chip and both were delicious. The texture was very high quality and almost chewy. Staff were very friendly and even gave my dog some vanilla to try :
Tried wild blueberry and cookies & Cream flavors in one scoop. Blueberry flavor was like just like eating fresh blueberries. C&C was good as well. Mango was also the same way fresh!!. Can't wait to try other flavors. Yes you can have two flavors in one scoop. They basically fill the cone with one flavor and one scoop of the second on top.
Blueberry and the brownie are heavenly!! I will definitely recommend all of my friends to visit!! And the girl who works there is so nice.
Best ice cream shop in the city! Hidden gem that is completely worth the drive to Parkallen. Staff are friendly and helpful with offering samples if you want to try something. Flavours I tried all tasted amazing! Favourite was cookies and cream. Great texture and lots of cookie bits. Waffle cone was really good as well. Has become my regular ice cream stop! Highly recommend giving this place a try!
The ice cream was indeed fresh and delicious. But what made it a memorable experience was the customer service provided by Tanya who took the time to ask me how I heard about her store, how my day was going, and if I'd like to sample the ice cream before deciding on a flavour. Thanks for being welcoming and super friendly! *** Highly Recommend ***
This place is amazing! My husband and I tried it for the first time today and were blown away by the flavours, the customer service and the prices. Tanya, the owner, clearly has a passion for her work, her customers and the neighbourhood. Highly recommend you check it out.
First time trying Annie Rue and it didn't disappoint but rather the opposite. Great flavours, ice cream texture, top notch waffle cones like a hand held Belgium waffle to hold your ice cream goodness and amazing staff. We got to sample a few flavours and even got a fresh batch of blueberry out. Got their blueberry and lemon cream pie as well as the pumpkin spice and coffee which were both great pairings. We're from Calgary but will definitely be back whenever we're in town.
