Honestly, extremely disappointing. The hot dog was served to us like shown the picture: soggy from the ketchup and we ate at the restaurant so not sure why the bun had already become soggy? and way too much ketchup at that. I didn’t ask for extra? The hot dog itself tastes disgusting. The fries were good. The milkshake was also delicious mango. The staff seemed extremely annoyed since there was only 40 mins until closing. The staff were super unfriendly and gave off very off-putting energy. The atmosphere is super sterile feeling as if I’m in a mental hospital. Wouldn’t stop by again
First time at Peter’s, and it’s great! I got a mango milkshake and it was great! I also got a cheese burger with peters sauce and the generosity of sauce was great. It was covered. As advice I recommend ordering a small fry because it’s still too much. I really enjoyed my food I hope you guys do too.
Maybe my expectations were too high. It’s not that it was really bad or anything. It did taste somewhat ok and I thought the price was fairly reasonable, but I expected more then something that reminded me of a burger and poutine that I would have ordered from a old school arena while I watched some junior hockey game. I did not have a milkshake but I hear that those are the highlights. I didn’t read the menu properly so I missed the part about having to ask for the toppings on my burger and the staff didn’t bother to point that out. You would think that they thought it was odd when a person orders a plain burger. The restaurant was clean and there is plenty of parking. Since my experience was less then stellar, I will be hesitant on returning anytime soon.
Amazing milkshakes, decent burgers. First up, the menu is a bit confusing. If you want your burger to have lettuce, tomato etc you MUST ASK FOR IT. This is listed on the menu, in tiny text at the bottom. I didn't realize this and ended up with what was essentially a cheeseburger, which although nice, wasn't what I was hoping for. So please, I'd recommend improving the layout of your menu to make it clearer for newcomers. I emphasize this so much because the burger, fries, and especially the shake were delicious. Fair warning, their milkshake is definitely a thickshake! The service was good, about what is expected for a fast food joint. Everything inside was clean, but there were hardly any customers so it was very quiet. It also felt a bit dated - not quite a retro diner, but certainly not modern. Overall the experience wasn't amazing, but I would return to give them a second chance, and to get the milkshake again.
Stopped in for lunch today. Ordered the double cheese burger, onion rings and a shake. Place has a ton of parking. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating areas too. I have previously used the drive thru and it's fast. The food was amazing. The shake perfect. Thick and yummy. Staff were very friendly. Restaurant was super clean. Definitely recommend that you make a visit here I wish that they had a location on the north side of the city
Is a nice huge space for a Burger spot. Perfect place right in the middle of Calgary trail and Gateway Boulevard. Ok, single burger with cheese little dry. Fountain pop was not the greatest. Suprise. The drink menu could be alot better. Upsells could be better.
Good bang for your buck! Good sized portions well worth the drive. Burger 3.4 out of 5 Fries 3.3 out of 5 Onion rings 3.5 out of 5 Milk shake 3.6 out of 5 Portion size 5 out of 5
The burger was sub par, would give it a 3/5. The poutine was pretty decent, not quite enough cheese. Would give it 3.5/5. The milkshakes were absolutely delicious, 5/5! $21 for poutine double cheese burger and milkshake is a little hefty. Wouldn't say the burger is all that worth it
It's a really cool dinner atmosphere. Store was clean and orderly. The staff is super nice and friendly. My fries and milkshake were very well done. The burger was meh... Definitely a step above the mainstream fast food chains but wasn't anything special especially with a half stale bun. I will try it again next time I'm in the area to see if my burger was an anomaly this go around
Classic style burgers with Peter's special sauce. Not fancy 20 toppings burgers, just classic. Each burger actually comes with 1.5 patties. Fries are cut and made fresh and the milkshakes are simply amazing. Over 20 flavors and you can mix them so there are 1000's of combinations. Value for what you pay is excellent and the service is very friendly. Eat in, outside or in your car.
