Angeethi
"In 2016, a hard working and energetic couple from India were invited with an idea of opening an Indian restaurant in Canada. With their strong background in culinary services, the couple opened a small restaurant in the heart of downtown Saskatoon using their own and borrowed money from their relatives. The result of their entrepreneurial efforts was the opening of the first “Angeethi Flame Fine Indian Bistro” Indian restaurant and the beginning of a bright journey towards changing the way world experienced Indian Cuisine in Canada. From their modest beginning, Angeethi has grown to become one of the finest and best Indian restaurant in the city of Saskatoon."

Nice experience. Good service and environment is great. Dishes are bit over priced if we look at the quantity served. But the taste is good. We had lamb jalfrezi and malai cheese kofta with naan and everything was delicious. Enjoyed my time there but if they start serving a bit extra quantity on that prices, that would be good. Will recommend this place to anybody who’s looking for some good Indian taste in Saskatoon.
May 2023 5* Visited the place with my long time friend. The place is nice and running for 6 years old. The ambience is nice and seating area is good. Here is my food list: - Gobhi Manchurian ***** - Papri Chaat ***** - Masala Chai ***** The place is accessible. Staff is good and helpful.
The food there is delicious. My favourite dish was gol gappa. I felt like the place is a little bit congested with too many tables all over. I really liked the art on the wall there. We got papdi chaat, gol gappa, panner tikaa in the picture and chicken tikka not in the pictures for the starters. The main course was cheesy kofte and some garlic naans. Panner tikka was just too good but chicken tikka was really weird, a little bland and I didn’t like the spices in it. Main course was good enough. The quality and cleanliness of the restaurant is great. Service was good too. Good food and experience. Overall 3.5 out of 5.
I love this place. Food is great but the reason beyond the food is the smiling service. They are open until 1 am for saskatoon its great for late night hangouts. You can also get the food delivered. Overall its the staff members there makes me happyFood: 4/5
I had an excellent dinner with a friend this week. The samosas were excellent. The spice level was satisfying. The portions were appropriate. The price was competitive and fair. The seating was comfortable and the front of house was clean. It was shocking to me that the place wasn't busier, though the lack of other patrons made for an ideal place to have a long enjoyable chat with no pressure to turn the table over to new patrons.
So we finally went to Angeethi Flame for our brunch. Had Channa Bhatura. I must say that the taste was really good. Really loved the taste, garnishing on food, presentation etc. From service perspective, I think it could have been better. We had to wait for server to reorder and it could have been better experience in terms of ordering. Its important to keep checking with customers if they need something rather than we waiting for server. I'm sure this can be certainly improved. But overall the experience, ambience, cleanliness and food were quite good.
It was our third visit at this restaurant yesterday on June 13, 2022. Food was awesome. They cook the food from the scratch. Every dish we ordered was having unique and authentic taste. The staff were professional and provided good customer service. I recommend this restaurant to all who want to taste real Eastindian food.
Lovekiran is the sweetest server ever met in an Indian restaurant. Her hosting skills are remarkable. Love to see her whenever had been possible. Fine dining with good portion of food available. Affordable for students like us.
First time trying Angeethi and we ordered takeout. We tried a variety of dishes and everything seemed too salty, even to my partner who is a smoker. Samosa was homemade but heavy with oil and the whole thing just fell apart when I tried to eat it. I liked the flavour of the samosa filling though, it was tasty with large pieces of potato. The curries we bought had good flavour, although salty, and we liked that there was enough spice for us at "medium". It wasn't bland, for sure! Some of the naan was very hard and couldn't be bent to eat with. It tasted good as a dipper. Staff both on phone and in person were not very friendly. I was not treated rudely, but also felt inconvenient and not welcome compared to other experiences. Price was average to average high compared to other South Asian restaurants. Overall we did enjoy our meal and we got full, but in the future I'll stick to our old favourites.
Ate here for the first time today and it was very good. Had the chicken lunch special and each component was very tasty and homemade. Butter naan was amazing. Lots of food for a reasonable price. Vegetarian options: Looks like there are lots of vegan and gluten free options on the menu. Parking: Lots of free parking
