Spent a whole afternoon at the museum and it was a great time! First we went to the Boomtown Cafe. It took awhile for them to seat us even though there were open tables but the staff were nice about it. Food is really simple but good. The service was really fast the prices are amazing for what you’re getting! Highly recommend. As for the museum, it’s quite interesting and cool to see all the different displays. I was surprised how much time we actually spent in there walking around. Also nice to see some changes since the last time I’ve visited that are more respectful towards Indigenous people as well which is super important. I think the museum can build even more on what they’ve done for reconciliation but that’s just my opinion. Definitely a must do if visiting Saskatoon!
Awesome place to take the kids. They ran straight to the miniature trains as soon they got in. Then we had a walk arround at the different building to look at the items insides. The kids were excite about the actual train and couldn't wait to hop in. They enjoyed the fun house and want to stop going in and out. It was great to see the different farm equipment and cars or transportation used in the past. Overall a great activity to do with the kids.
A clean and well maintained museum with an abundance of amazing and beautiful displays, with some special features just for kids. Plan for a minimum of a couple hours at least. Also has a dining area with great food that is reasonably priced, as well as a lovely gift shop with some unique items. I posted some pics of a few of the displays I really enjoyed.
It was such a pleasure to provide technology here for a fundraising event that we sponsored as a charitable vendor for Autism Services! The staff were very nice, the electrical of the place is good quality and well-labeled, the food was delicious one meal pictured, and the loading access to the building was very accessible and made it easy for us to accomplish the logistical aspects of the event. I was also very glad that I came to the museum to do a reconnaissance earlier in the day, as I got to check out some of the brilliantly informative and vivid exhibits. I learned a tremendous amount, and it inspired me to do further reading on the history that is highlighted in this venue. Thanks so much for having us, hope to come back again some day!
I was excited to go to the museum as I hadn't been there since I was just a kid. It did not disappoint... The boomtown exhibit is just so interesting with so much history to take in and walking into the buildings really feels like you're walking back in time. The vehicle exhibit was phenomenal. The old cars were the kids favorite part as well as being able to climb into an old train engine and feeling what it was like. They have staff around who will sneak up behind you with interesting information on whatever it is you're looking at. We also were treated to a model train show going on at the museum at the same time. Facilty is huge and from what I noticed, very clean. It takes a couple of laps around to really see it and we likely missed some Only downside was it was incredibly busy but it only moderately affected the experience. There's lots of parking and it's really easy to find. Hope this helps
Great big museum on the settlement and development of Saskatchewan. The main exhibit is a recreation of an old town street that you can explore. Lots of old fixed up cars and agriculture equipment as well.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
We were very pleasantly surprised by the extensive and impressive collection, both in the replica town and in the vehicles section. A great visit, only wished we could have stayed longer!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

Amazing! Was in Saskatoon looking for something different to do. My travel companion suggested this. Didn’t think I would like it. I was wrong. This place was a blast!! Can’t say enough good things about it to friends visiting Saskatoon. Really enjoyed walking through the exhibit and seeing how far we have come. I learned a lot about the struggles of the people in those time. The tractor and cars exhibit was really cool and informative. I highly recommend visiting their pleasant staff and getting a ticket to the exhibit.
Something different to do. Very well spaced out and put together. Allow around 2 hours. The café is a must try!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
