The food was great, the service was not. We got plastic cups for our drinks when other tables got glassware and plastic cups only for kids. We asked for an extra cup, that took forever. We were waiting for the bill with our plates stacked for a while before our waitress came back. Then she took long to come back with the credit card. The food and view was still worth the bad service.
Amazing views! The prices are really low example: 2 eggs+ fries + French toast = $9 but we were surprised when saw the price of a lobster roll $19.90! Good service but they forgot to bring us the beer! No draft beers!
I love eating by the water. The really enjoyed the food here. I will definitely be going back again and I recommend anyone to try this place for breakfast.
Nice little cozy place on the river. The main waitress was exceedingly friendly and gladly settled all requests. The toast, omelette and and hash browns were very nice. My only issue was that my over-easy eggs came out much more on the solid side.
My boyfriend and I come to this restaurant regularly. Every time, we have had great service and amazing food, to the point that we have sung it’s praises to practically everyone we know. However, today we were extremely disappointed. Not only was our food awful, but our service was the worst we’ve ever had. We sat out on the patio, and were practically ignored by the 2 waitresses for the majority of our visit. But the two other tables? They were consistently stopped at and asked if they needed anything. It honestly felt like we were being discriminated against, as a young Hispanic couple. Horrible.
Nice view of the marina and friendly waitress to greet us. It all looked so good on the menu which covered old time Italian favorites, pizza and of course sea food. Because we couldn't make up our minds, we ordered the sampler. We asked if it would be big enough for two and waitress said "its really big". She was right! We loved every morsel of fish, scallop, shrimp and clam all done in an amazingly lite batter. Served plain and simple on a platter. No frills. None needed. The best fried seafood platter we've had all summer. Will we go back? Absolutely !!
Cute little no frills neighborhood restaurant right on the river with a great view. The outside deck is a great place to have a meal in the warmer months. Food is reasonably priced and good but not exceptional. Service is quick and staff is friendly. A nice place to come for weekend breakfast with the kids.
Anastasio's has a nice little menu. Just enough for everyone to find something they like. Their prices are reasonable and their pizzas are delicious. I haven't tried breakfast there yet. Something to look forward to. The big draw is the view. Go when the weather is nice, sit outside on their deck. Right on the Quinnipiac River. Lovely. Staff are always friendly.
Great view, incredible service, excellent food and unbelievably low prices. . A very relaxed place, probably not for anyone who likes to put on airs. The people at the next table, and the ones on the other side of them, might join in your conversation. They did when I was talking to the waitress, and having every table say what a fantastic job she did sure didn't seem to spoil her day. Had a good shrimp cocktail, excellent fresh clams, and a very good eggplant parmigiana for a touch over $20. I'm going back! Often.
Waiting time is way too long, waitress very very rude, portions are too small, and prices are too high. And unsanitary: The waitress gave us the fork she dropped to the floor. Who knows what is going on in the kitchen where we don't see. I realize many reviewers mention waitress was friendly. May be she was just rude to non-white / minority groups. If you are one the privileged ones, don't let my review misguide you
