Analog Coffee
"Analog was founded with the view that every cup of coffee poured should be something special, and that ‘good enough’, is never good enough. We’re always in search of the finest coffees for our customers, and our community. Our cafe is a place where we can carefully craft our brilliant single-origin coffees, and where everyone can join the Analog community finding their own place in the Analog story, which, of course, is only getting started."

LOVE LOVE!? this place! Staff are super friendly, knowledgeable about their product, and just simply all-around amazing... Food products are well crafted and coffees are above reproach... I am a weekend regular, and would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you for your great service
$6 croissant. Enough said. I draw the line at $5.25...and that better be one damn good croissant. End of September and they didn't have Pumpkin Spicy Latte, so I ordered just a black coffee, which was luke warm. I personally don't like sour coffee, I like my coffee smooth, full of body and strong. Their coffee had more sour notes and medium in strength. The Almond Croissant was ok. Since they don't have an in-house bakery their pastries are not fresh. With their prices I expect fresh pastries. I think what I took away from this place having it been my first time was this: We have two types of coffee shops with two very different DNA's. One is entirely committed to upholding the intrinsic value of the pleasure of walking into a coffee shop, because I mean really....you could make your own coffee at home...right? This type of coffee shop has the service, the vibe and the kickass beans and pastries that their morning regulars line up for and can't go without, before heading to work. You know.....that morning allure. The other type of coffee shop is one in which the focus is on the decor, the design, the sofa and the branding...taking away from what really matters....ultimately when you sit there and reflect on the space....you feel that it's empty.....and You who are a Coffee Shop Lover are still left craving what you didn't get. That pretty much sums it up for me with Analog.
Lovely coffee shop in Yaletown. Service was a little slow but iced latte tasted great. Very spacious and bright cafe with outdoor seating. Pastries looked yummy and will have to come by to try out more menu items!Food: 4/5
Come here for the coffee, but stay because of the atmosphere and the vibe. Their staff are very friendly and hard working which is always a plus. My favourite here the Chai Latte as evident in the photo but again, I love Analog for the atmosphere.
This is the first Analog Coffee in Vancouver.  They’re originally from Calgary and so am I.  I used to go to their 17th Avenue location in Calgary, for years.  That particular location was special because it was right in the heart of downtown Calgary.  It attracted a lot of artists and creative people for a lot of reasons. First of all, the staff was great.  The owners had a knack for hiring wonderfully charismatic baristas who created an amazing vibe for the space.  Staff with extroverted personalities were essential because the coffee shop was small and the staff and customers were jammed together, which created a level of intimacy that naturally spawned relationships.  In a small space you need baristas with big personalities in order to make it all work.  This created a special vibe that, in turn, attracted a lot of very cool customers who added to the overall vibe. Analog on 17th Ave had a very quirky design because it was housed in an old character building that used to be a tiny convenience store.  That place was downright claustrophic.  Tiny aisles with products stacked to the ceiling.  The building was also on a street corner and faced south with a view of 17 Ave.  Tomkins Park was next door and there was always an event or demonstration going on there.  17 Ave had a lot of car traffic and foot traffic.  It was a street that everyone liked to cruise.  The Hell’s Angels had a clubhouse nearby and they loved to cruise 17th Ave.  17th Ave was also part of the famous Red Mile, and after the hockey games were over at the Saddle Dome, people would walk down 17 Ave to find a bar where they could celebrate their victory, or drown their sorrows.  Location is everything and Analog nailed it perfectly.  Analog Coffee really added a lot of community to downtown Calgary. Hopefully they will be able do the same thing for downtown Vancouver. Fun fact...before Analog took over this location, at 338 Helmcken, it used to be a Blenz Coffee.  That coffee shop also had a great design and thankfully Analog has carried on with this tradition.  Analog did some renovations but the space still looks great.  It still has a very open and spacious design.  Lots of windows, lots of light, a big patio.  Helmcken Plaza is right beside Analog Coffee and it’s a car-free space that hosts various public events, which is a great idea for the community.  The plaza is also is a good way to handle overflow seating if the coffee shop is full…or if you happen to have a dog and need a place to sit and hang out.  Vancouverites love their dogs as much as their coffee, if not more. The batch brewed coffee at Analog is great, as usual, and so are the Butter Croissants.  I haven’t tried any of the other food but they seem to have a nice selection.  The staff are very kind and helpful, which is great.  Wifi is good.  And the Sky Train station is only two blocks away, in case you don’t want to drive. Vegetarian options: There are some vegan food options here.
This specialty coffee shop in Yaletown is a must-visit spot for coffee lovers. The interior is impressive, having been renovated after it used to be Blenz. The space is spacious and filled with natural light, providing a cozy and inviting atmosphere with comfortable seating, beautiful artwork on the walls, and a modern and minimalist aesthetic. The shop also has a patio, making it a great spot to enjoy their exceptional coffee. They pride themselves on using only the highest quality, ethically-sourced coffee beans from around the world, resulting in a delicious cup of coffee that is rich, complex, and full of character. In addition to their exceptional coffee, they offer a range of delectable pastries and baked goods, including croissants, muffins, and cookies, as well as a small selection of breakfast and lunch items, such as sandwiches and salads. I highly recommend trying their chocolate chip cookies. They are open till late, so it's a perfect spot for a late-night caffeine fix or a cozy place to catch up with friends over coffee.
Had an excellent pour over of Burundi. There’s a nice outdoor seatings. The shop is popular and the lineup can be long.Food: 5/5
New shop in Yaletown. The interiors are nice. I ordered an extra hot cappuccino. I am usually disappointed with the temperature of my coffee, or if a barista gets the temperature right, they end up burning it. But these people at Analog got it right without burning it. Finally got the right coffee. However, the food leaves room for improvement. We ordered a berry scone and a cheese and ham savory dish. The berry scone was too dry and the cheese and ham was too dry and had a weird sweetness to it. Seeming they are new, I am guessing by my next visit they would have ironed the food details and it will be perfect
I'll be brutally honest with my review because they are a highly acclaimed cafe with multiple locations, so I know they can do better. This could have been a 1 star review but since it's their 1st day I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Ordered matcha latte and chocolate croissant, matcha was bland even though they used enough to really turn it green. I did see matcha powder being scooped out of an unlabelled container stored under the pick up counter, who knows where the powder came from and when it was put in there. Chocolate croissant was dry and didn't have enough chocolate. For the price point I think it's a tough sell against other cafes within a block that specialize in croissants. Perhaps jokes on me for getting a croissant from an unproven place. The employees were undertrained, made mistakes and the whole system didn't look dialed in. Maybe they should have done a partial opening before jumping right into business. On the positive side the interior looks nice and cozy though. Willing to visit a Month later to see how they've improved and update my review.
Fun to get pour over and watch the process. I recommend waiting to drink it until it cools for the full flavour. Don't recommend the berry scone, tasted off. Great location and decor. Staff seems really dedicated to providing excellent coffee beverages. This place might need some time to work the kinks out.
