Story

We feature Italian favorites as well as local seafood, great steaks, a full-service bar, and an extensive wine list. We make many of our menu items on premise, including homemade sausage, meatballs, ravioli, gnocchi, bread, soups, and desserts. We buy fresh, not farm-raised salmon! We offer a thin crust pizza and make our dough from a special grade of semolina flour from Italy. All of our sauces are made on premise using the best ingredients. We are the best kept secret in the North End!

The food makes up for anything else that may be lacking. Prawns the size of my fist. Amazing antipasti plates. Great wines. When they first opened they had some seriously amazing wait staff; in the past year there are some new folks that are a little slow on the uptake.... forget that they are in a nice restaurant and not a TGI Fridays, etc... (impatient order taking, wine glasses a little stingily poured...) BUT THE FOOD.

We began visiting Amici's Bistro when we moved to Mukilteo in 2006. We fell in love with the decor, service, attentiveness, the owners, and mainly, the food. Over the years, it went from a "special celebration" place (Christmas, graduations, birthdays, etc), to a hometown spot where we came in after a day of sailing (looking a little ragged), andthen it became the norm on a Frday or Saturday night. We've entertained many guests, and have shown it off to parents, cousins, aunt's, etc. We even were allowed to bring in our own wine and stems as we used to be extreme wine snobs...lol. We, and our guests have tried all of the dishes there and all are to die for. Our personal favorites were the Gamberi al Limoni nd the incomparable Lobster Ravioli. Unfortunately, we had to leave Mukilteo for new jobs and adventures in 2011. We moved from there to Reno, NV, then back to Burlington, WA, then, and then to Texas, and then to Bend, OR (a town which is very proud of their foodie culture. I came back to Amici's December 8, 2017 and nearly cried because I had missed the Lobster Ravioli so much. Everywhere we've traveled, we hope we'll find something that even.comes.close to Amici's....hasn't happened, and probaby never will Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the magic you.create. Truth is you are simply the best!

Food was good, service was great. We sat on the patio on a beautiful sunny day. The only recommendation is that they spruce up the patio area. It could be a very inviting place.

Wonderful food, but the service was somewhat off. As an early dinner solo diner, I was seated promptly, but had time to read the Seattle Times before I received a menu. My server was knowledgeable and friendly when she arrived, and my cannalloni was exactly what she said - freshly baked in a 600 degree oven. Yowza! But insanely delicious when it cooled down enough to eat. I waited for quite a while to get my check, but my waitress was MIA when I tried to get an itemized receipt for business purposes. I was also hoping to discreetly mention the swarm of ants by my patio table, but nobody was available to chat with about that.

Best service ever by Monica who also took care of the entire bar but never missed a beat at our table. she had great recommendations on food and I absolutely love that. Amazing atmosphere and food too.
