I contacted Dave for help moving my salt water aquarium as I had never moved one before and wasn't confident in tackling this alone. He came prepared with gear, knowledge and experience that turned a stressful task into a great learning experience, I definitely would have made potentially damaging mistakes without his aid. Very pleased with how the move went.
Dave was a HUGE help to me and my fish! He made time for me after calling him last minute with my DILEMMA. Turned out my outdoor pond and fish were fine, after he tested our water on-site. I was and am so grateful for your help, expertise and care.
Dave to the rescue! He returned my call right away, arrived within a couple hours, and helped me out with an issue with my CO2 system for my planted aquarium. Super knowledgeable, professional, friendly...so glad to know I can call on him next time!
Dave helped us finding new home for our goldfish we had for over 5 years. Since we decided to donate the fish tank and other accessories, it was very convenient that Dave picked up everything from our house. We are very happy that our fish have better new home and really appreciate Dave’s service. We highly recommend his company.
We contacted Dave for advice, through a reference, after meeting with dead ends with several other aquariums and pet stores. We were leaving Vancouver for good and wanted our fish 4 Koi and around 50 gold fish transported to Northern BC by a 2 day road trip. Alternatively we wanted our fish to stay in a Fish hotel until our new pond up north was ready for them. Dave gave us free advice for about a month spending much time with us on the phone and he seemed to care about our fish like they were his own. He was immensely helpful in guiding us on how we should catch them and what we should do to transport them safely and comfortably. You see our fish lived in a full size swimming pool for over 10 years and catching them meant draining the pool. He even offered to house them in his own ponds until our pond was ready. In the end we opted to transport them following all his advice to the T. Every one of our fish survived the long journey and are now very happy in their big new pond. Thank you so much Dave for all your help, and Amazing Aquariums will be the only place we will shop at when we are in North Van.
Dave helped out my family in a huge way when he re-housed our fish and found a new home for our aquarium. We loved our aquarium for 12 years but then it became too much for us to handle. Dave went out of his way to come to our house and take it off our hands. Now our fish are happy in their new homes, and we can't begin to describe how relieved we are. I would highly recommend Dave, he is very professional and above all else he is kind.
I had a great experience with Dave at Amazing Aquariums. I had to re- home a 'Banded Leporins' fish that was going to grow too large for my tank. I contacted several aquarium businesses who would not take this fish species due to their aggressive tendencies and difficulty living with other fish. In fact, some people were very negative in their perceptions and commentary. It was upsetting. However, I felt I needed to advocate for my pet and find him a home. So in desperation, I contacted the Vancouver Aquarium and was referred to Dave. I was told that he had a breadth of knowledge regarding various fish species and I quickly contacted him. Dave was wonderful and extremely caring. He went to Mr. Pets and took my fish back with him. My Banded Leporins fish is now with Dave until he can find an appropriate home. Dave went out of his way to help. Mr. Pets tried to find my fish a home but had not been able to so they agreed to let Dave take him. Fish are amazing sentient beings who are important and require care and concern. They are not disposable pets. Dave's actions truly embody his love for aquatic life. I would absolutely recommend him to any aquarium enthusiast or anyone newly interested in this wonderful hobby. I now know that my former pet will be properly looked after and enjoy its life in an appropriately sized tank with an aquarium enthusiast and specialist such as Dave. How wonderful. Thanks again Dave. You are awesome!
Dave from amazing aquariums is absolutely amazing! He is so passionate and knowledgeable about fish. He maintains 3 tanks with us and our fish could not be happier. He takes professionalism to a whole new level.
Dave is now my go to fish guy! He was really great at getting back to me on email and he got my fish and tank sorted really quickly. I'd recommend him to anyone with a fish dilemma!
