We're a family from Taiwan, and we love our stay here! The house is very Victorian-style, antique & classical, tho a little creepy when we went downstairs to get hot water at night... But overall it's a very pretty house with a great living room and dining room. The breakfast is really nice, the room is clean, the town is friendly (with plenty of bookstores and libraries :D), and transportation is convenient (except for B43 all other buses are free). The inn is about a 5-10 min walk from the town center, also about 15min from UMass, and our host had drove us there twice! We truly love our stay in Allen House Amherst!

I've stayed at the Inn four times, twice with wife.  It is adjacent to Amherst College so if that is your destination it's perfect.  Rooms are comfortable, well appointed, good breakfast, nice and helpful management...a bit like family.   No reason to look further--this is where I'll be staying...
