Alforat Iraqi Street Food

Overall a great experience here. The lamb was absolutely delicious and tender. The kebabs were basic. The chicken kebab was extremely sour and had a strong lemon flavor and was not appetizing but the beef kebabs were decent. Pita was also very fresh! However, the lamb is what makes this place unique. Decent ambiance inside and a little room on their patio outside. Food was presented beautifully and it was overall a clean environment with decent service. The space inside is minimal and it can get busy, so you may want to call ahead. I will try a few other items on their menu and post an update. But it’s definitely worth a try. Give it a go!

This place has a small dining space and is really busy; this could be a downside if you’re dining in with a group larger than 5 people. Having said that, this is a must if you’re in the area. The food is fresh and so authentic. The meets are tender and juicy and the service is great! The staff are really friendly, communicate well in navigating the crowds and get their food out in a very timely manner. Definitely recommend a visit. Dietary restrictions: Halal meats

Tara and Fatima are the best. I have become a regular and they treat their customers like family. Excellent food and service. I have been to both Iraqi places in the Plaza few times. I have to say food overall is much superior here and the value and extras are hard to beatFood: 5/5

This was my first time eating Iraqi food & I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here with my family. From the beginning, the server was so polite and welcoming. Then we ordered the food and boy were we in for a surprise. The food just kept coming & coming. We got worried for a second if they got our order wrong but no, it’s just how they serve all their customers. The appetizers & side dishes along with the dinner were delicious. I’m not a fan of lentil soup but their’s was finger licking good! We felt like guests more than customers. The food was equally as excellent as their service. Will definitely come back with friends & family. Thank you Alforat staff for an amazing experience for a first timer.

The most delicious food with so many extra items we got we haven't even ordered just because our order got a bit late. Their customer service is A+. And the food is made so delicious, especially i love their lentil soup and fatoush Salad. The chicken Tikka platter was amazing.Food: 5/5

First time coming here, very friendly staff and generous with free soup im, not JOKING! free delicious soup, food was 100 not filling or stuffy we had Iraqi Authentic Street Food! It was very hot and delicious! I got a chicken wrap and it's the right amount of Meats and Tomatoes and Onions, the bread is nice and fluffy the pita bread was Fluffy sorry I didn't take a pic too Delicious and the dips were a salad, fresh hummus and Very strong and garlic paste, what you need is good food, atmosphere and Excellent this restaurant was IT. Visited this restaurant last Monday over the long weekend. Had a great experience and went with the lady’s recommendation forgot her name however when the food arrived the rice quantity was very low, more like for 1 person…. -_- Otherwise the meat was fresh and tasted amazing. They also offer complimentary lentil soup which is nice Please fix the rice amount, I’m attaching a pic for you to see.

Second time within this weekend, we came yesterday and were so impressed by the great hospitality, generosity and delicious food.. real value for money.. portions are well sized with complimentary lentil soup, all bbq grilled to perfection. Yesterday we tried Alforat bbq mix, today we wanted to try their arabi meal - tried both lamb & chicken- this time made sure to take pics as well. Keep up the awesome quality of service- this has become such a rare find lately. What a gem

There's always a lineup when I drive by this place so I had to try it. Absolutely delicious food, a lot of places now that serve similar food, seem to under spice it this was not the case at Alforat. The lamb samoon we ordered was fabulous, juicy and loaded with flavor. The lentil soup was also fantastic. The staff were friendly, and for a fast casual restaurant, the service was attentive. Will be back.

Despite an issue with the restaurant's air conditioning on a scorching hot day, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Alforat. Food: The mixed shawarma family platter was so tasty, fresh and generous that we were amazed! Service: Exceptional! It was a terribly hot day and to accommodate the guests, the staff set up tables outside and did not miss a beat on serving quickly and effortlessly. I highly recommend you try this Iraqi gem in Mississauga. I can't wait to come back to try some specialty items! Dietary restrictions: Halal
