Very gorgeous, someone had a wedding at the fountain that was beautiful! The park seems very little maintained, lots of abandoned beautiful buildings. Nothing was opened to visit or explore. The park was open to public and adventuring. It was a lovely time, lots of goose poo, people and pretty scenery.
Large park with rubber turf. Really interesting play equipment for bigger kids and toddlers. For example a wheelchair accessible merry-go-round, big and small slides, late artificial Rock to climb, and lots of ramps and steps for little ones. The view is incredible as you're right on the water, and you can watch boats go by on the Detroit River. There are washrooms and free parking available.
It’s quite a nice walk that one can do in Alexander Park. There’s even a playground for the kitties. Being totally blind, and living near the river, I find just walking around and following the fence with my cane gives me some exercise. Give it a try, enjoy the good weather and look at the river, hear nature and look at the sky. Peace out and have a great day everybody!
Windsor gets 5 stars for their top drawer park system. Recently the city of Windsor has improved this part by adding play equipment for the children and washroom. It is still a beautiful part oh, a great place to relax or to do a little fishing if you prefer. Come try it out today. --- Sept 21, 2022 - not much has changed. Still a beautiful Park. A sunny day on the cusp of fall watching the ships go by. I know this sounds like a song but that's what it is like today. Take a break along the Detroit River today.
Beautiful Belle Isle, I haven't visited here in a very long time. Great to see families picnicking, weddi g party taking photos by the fountain. I did not stay for the sunset, but Im sure it was beautiful.
A wonderful park with great views of the Detroit skyline. The playground is great for the kids. There is an extended asphalt trail along the Detroit River which is used by many residents and visitors to the area. This park is one of the things which made us happy to move to Windsor. It is well kept by city staff and well thought out. Parking is not free but is very affordable.
Awesome photogenic place. A nice fountain, beautiful detroit downtown view and you can also see a beautiful sunset. There are lots of one way roads near by.
Interesting how being at Belle Isle gives info as if I were in Canada. Belle Isle was great hosting the art show last weekend. Too bad more visitors can't walk a short distance to drop their garbage into the plentiful refuse barrels placed around the park!
Nice park. Great place to relax and unwind. Lots of open space for events and get togethers
Good place for a lazy family time while kids can play and parents can spend time on their own. People can also enjoy a calm and quite river view. Playground: Kids friendly and clean.
