Visit today was great. All staff very attentive and concerned. I had contacted PAMC regarding a medical emergency that occurred d/t medication change, but the message was not received. Very pleased with treatment and care today!!!
This place does not take you as an individual human into consideration. They waste your time and then blow you off. I was scheduled for an echocardiogram stress test, and less than 24hrs prior to my appointment Alaska Heart and Vascular called to inform me that insurance would not cover the test unless a did a less accurate test first. I asked if I could keep my appointment and pay for it myself, and was told that the test CANNOT be performed without an insurance company’s approval. The office manager said that insurance updated their requirements in January of 2025, so they knew before my appointment that this would be the case. However they wasted more of my time, and money. The cardiologist Dr. Josiah Brown apparently knows less about medical care than an insurance adjuster. Very disappointed with this institution for putting a patients health care second to an insurance adjusters opinion. It’s really sad. I wish I would have been informed of this before I made arrangements to miss work and pay for a hotel room. I’ll know better next time….looks like it’s time to shop around Anchorage for a Cardio institute that cares for patients, and not what they can bill. You got my money and you got me good! Congratulations Alaska Heart and Vascular you really knocked it out of the park! I wish you all the best!
Dr. Tiwana has been fantastic! I moved back to AK last year and was nervous to find a new cardiologist. She’s caring, answers all my questions, and provides good instructions on keeping my heart healthy. The office and rest of the staff has always been kind as well.
Really felt confident with Dr. Kramer had his assistant but felt as confident in his care and knowledge as Dr Kramer, very pleased so far
My husband went in for a stress test. Molly was fabulous. Very professional as well as personable. Dr. Finley called later that night to talk results and next steps. Dr Finley and his team and Molly lab downstairs all rock!!
