I had the best uni sandwich ever here!! It was so delicious, very unique. If you're an uni enthusiast like me you should give it a try! It was very fresh and creamy. My sisters ordered the ahi tuna sandwich and miso sablefish bowl. It was sooo good! The sandwiches were loaded with fresh veggies and quality Japanese style pickled veggies. The bread is house made and I love how perfectly square it is. The miso sablefish was very tender and delicious. We also had the royal milk tea and Sakura latte! The latte was gentle and lifting. I had the strawberry Pina Colada which I'm going to order again. It was nice to talk and catch up with my sisters here. I'm definitely coming back and ordering lunch to-go here. It's nice to have food where you feel good about yourself after. Thanks again!
The food here is delicious! I have been here twice now and I've really enjoyed everything both times. The first time I had a Sakura Latte with espresso and it was really good, a cool pink colour too. They have non-dairy milk options as well for those who don't want dairy. I also had the Tuna Tataki Cheese Melt, the coconut bread was a nice change and it had nice lightly pickled veggies. The tuna tataki was done perfectly. The second time I went I had the Yuzu Ginger Ale and it was very refreshing, lots of yuzu and a nice spice from the fresh ginger! I also had the Vegan Sushi Rolls, I'm not vegan but I was really impressed and totally satisfied, the rice was done properly. I also had the Miso Sake Sablefish, wow! I love sablefish and this was delicious, you should try this. It was so hard to decide because there were lots of other things on the menu that sounded so good but I know I will be back again and again so I can try them then. I think it will be the Tan Tan Ramen or the Cold Sesame Noodles next. I totally recommend trying this place out.
Came for the hot chocolate festival and stayed for the food. The plum wine hot chocolate was super creative and delicious, but the highlight of my meal has got to be the uni sandwich. The uni pairs super well with the fresh veggies and the sweetness of the brioche bread
Excellent flavours and a variety of tastes!! Located in Chinatown and as small as it may be, you'll be surprised by the quality. They serve quite a number of drinks, meals and pastries. The best part of each order is that they use natural ingredients and they're made fresh each day. You're guaranteed to eat good food here. This power couple have got it together. No nonsense! Their knowledge of coffee is great and they support local roasteries. If you're looking for a sweeter cup or a kickstart to the day, check out their espressos!
Truly a hidden gem - located on Main and Carrall, Aiyaohno cafe serves some amazing food and drinks. There’s a takeout window but you can also eat inside. To enter the building, you just have to dial 8888 and the lovely owners will let you in. There are a few tables in front and a very big menu and selection of smoothies, coffee drinks, sushi rolls, salad bowls, sandwiches and noodles to name a few. Many items are also vegan, vegetarian and pescatarian. I got the yuzu ginger ale $5.50 and it was so refreshing with a strong yuzu taste. I also got the sesame chilli tan tan ramen $14.50 - super filling, tasty with a kick. Loved the kale noodles and all the veggies and mushrooms. Will have to come back to try the other menu items!
My friends and I have been here two times already and everytime it was such a pleasant experience! We got the lattes and some food items, they were all very yummy - vegan based too! We got a chance to chat with Bev and she was super cool and chill to talk to. We will definitely be back.
Had a lovely experience at this beautiful Gastown coffee shop. They have a unique variety of vegan, vegetarian and pescatarian pastries and lunch items. I had a delicious vegan BLT sandwich with bread made in-house and a lavender latte with sesame milk. The owners are very passionate about their business and it shows in their food. You can order from the window or come inside to their small seating area. Will definitely come here often!
Suuuper cute cafe! Both drinks we got salted sakura latte and hojicha chai were perfectly flavored, not too sweet. The sandwiches were hefty, fresh, and filling, and creative! The owner's partner hand makes the pottery mugs they served us water in. Dog friendly too :Food: 5/5
if you are looking really beautiful, healthy food that soothes the soul, you need to stop by aiyaohno. The food and drink are incredible and made with such love and care. Everything is made in house. Thank you so much for such an amazing meal
I’d give 10 stars if I could!! The owners are so friendly and happy to tell you about their awesome food and beverage selection. I was really impressed by their homemade bread made with coconut milk instead of eggs and butter- so springy and flavourful. The smoked Saba sando was so fresh and well-balanced. Great latte too with a fluffy foam accented by salted Sakura syrup. Please come by and support this excellent local business!
