Having recently gone to urgent care, as much as I didn't like the long wait, I did expect it. I understand the nurses and doctors are quite busy and have full respect for them. However, I do not appreciate the tone and words spoken to me by 1 nurse, I didn't catch her name. I was given instructions on what I should do if the medication prescribed did not work, from the nurse I had seen while I was at the hospital. However, the nurse on the phone had no patience and spoke rudely to me. Rather than politely apologizing for incorrect information given to me, or nicely explaining, I was told 'no, you're wrong', followed up by her hanging up the phone. I have never written a review about such experience, but this bothered me as I am in pain and rather than support, the nurse was just rude. I will not be going to Victoria Hospital going forward.
Thank you kindly to the Colonoscopy Department. The team was very kind and professional. No pain or discomfort. I forgot to bring something to read and I waited nearly 2 hours for my scheduled exam. Please bring something to read. Except for that, everything else was excellent! Thank you once again!
Daughter went for a post surgery infection and was treated like garbage by the triage nurse. Made to feel like she was faking it. Such a long wait. Seems like third world health care treatment is better.
I am just so ANGRY! I waited 5 hours in urgent care with extreme pain in my neck, something I had in the past that I KNEW what it was leading up to. Finally was taken into the back to be seen by a nurse who gave me a prescription for nothing useful....NOW I HAVE BELL'S PALSY!! THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I NOW HAVE TO GO THROUGH WITH THIS PAINFUL CONDITION! START LISTENING TO YOUR PATIENTS!! Thankfully a walk-in clinic near where I live actually took me seriously and prescribed what I needed.
I wanted to take the time to leave a review after my stay here. My condition is not a common one- despite this, I felt very accommodated in the short time I spent here! While I can't remember everyone's namethere were quite a few!, I'd like to extend my deepest gratitude to all of the nurses, surgeons, and everyone else who cared for me yesterday; as I didn't have the chance to thank everyone before I left. Everyone there was very busy but still took the time to check on me regularly, bringing me medicine, checking my blood pressure, keeping an eye out for signs of infection, bleeding, etc. I hope everyone there knows they have truly made a difference in my life. Keep being great!
I would like to thank Dr. Laura Chan and all the staff in Admitting, Day surgery and recovery. Everyone was friendly, knowledgable and supportive during my stay. Thank you for your continued hard work in the Healthcare field during these stressful times.
“Nurses and doctors r busy” they always say that. Long hours of waiting but actually theres no staffs at all to help with the patients need, they will just make us WAIT until doctors show up to work !. It’s ridiculous how I paid my tax for this. :
This is my first time on the mental health ward. I have been to others however they pale in comparison to this one. The nurses and staff go above and beyond and are so caring. They will give you your time and just make this a wonderful experience. I have already had some good long talks with the nurses and it’s like talking to a good friend. I feel valued, cared for and I feel like not a patient in a hospital but more like a comfortable recovery place. I highly recommend Victoria and all the nurses and staff should be given praise for their hard work and dedication
Thank you so much to the nurse that booked us in, the doctor that helped my son and the other nurse that brought him a popsicle. He tested positive for COVID and we were offered the most helpful assistance. Thank you so much!
they should atleast keep more doctors seriously its embarassing a big hospital like this makes patients wait for hours i am very dissapointed with the canadian health system i dont recommend you go during the night idk about during the day but during the night expect to stay for atleast 5+ hours
