WHC is a feminist community health clinic in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Story

Since 1981, WHC has offered a range of client-centred health and wellness services to women of all ages. Today, we also provide services to males through our Teen Clinics and the Provincial Eating Disorder Prevention & Recovery Program.

We emphasize prevention, education and choice. We design our services to encourage and empower people to take charge of their own health.

Every time I go to Women’s I am greeted with care, concern and urgency. I’m offered options, information, counseling and support. This place is truly amazing. I really appreciate the wonderful place and what it does for the comminity.

Terrible.  I had call this place over the past few years and they will only help women who are not over the age of 25. Umm it's hardly enough as a woman who is trying to find women doctor practitioners or even help with medical advice or issues affecting women.  Seriously, their mission is to help all women of all walks of life? When I had called and asked if I can see a counsellor there, the receptionist replied," Sorry, we only help low income women and we don't treat people who depression or offer any counselling."  Umm, if you don't offer counselling, don't display on your website!

Absolutely fantastic place.  I already knew I wanted a tubal ligation before I went there and had done a lot of research already - so it was mildly annoying to sit though their educational presentation, but I do appreciate they really want to make sure you know exactly what you're signing up for.  

One of the few places I've received reproductive health care without having to endure a condescending rant about "meeting the right man" or "when your biological clock kicks in".
