You need to train your people better, ive been in retail for over 20 years and never have I ever acted like this with a customer. We tell the employee at “Self check out that the price is wrong, he looks in the ads and I tell him it’s not in the” ads “ it’s on the shelf, then he says he needs to see it so I tell him to come with me ,then he says he can’t leave his post and that he needs a picture and proof, so I go and take a picture to show proof. When I come up he then walks away to ignore me. I told him you need to “honor the price and he said he can’t do that. That is uncalled for bc I’ve done it numerous of times for my customers, I have pictures to prove it was wrong.. train them better..
This place used to be very customer friendly. Not so much anymore. I ran in to get some fried chicken at the deli here lastnight and requested an all dark 16 piece like i do anywhere that sells fried chicken and was told by the young lady that it would be $47.84 I said what!? Why??? And was told she has to charge per piece and cannot do an all dark order. She said "its a corporate rule, and theres nothing anyone can do about it." So apparently its acmes corporate policy to cause customers to turn around and go somewhere else for their fried chicken.
Prices are climbing faster than I can keep up. I can often find the same item at Giant Eagle for a lower price, which has never been my experience. Compare prices with items more now than ever.
Prices are absolutely SKY HIGH, and that's despite taking inflation out of the equation. Go to literally any other grocery store and the exact same item brand for brand is half the price. It's my opinion that they are just downright scamming their customers.
So. Yesterday I was picking up takeout for dinner and I needed a few things from Acme. But I didt want to really go in so for the first time I did the grocery pickup and I was surprised ...They had almost everything on my list only subed 1 item ...texted me when it was ready even though I picked the time .When I arrived the young lady on the phone was very friendly. When she came out she was very nice .I just wish the receipt had her name on it so I could let someone know how great she was.ould I do this again yes....
Hey don't blame me for your mind problems! I went to this Acme store to place an order for a party tray because the old place where I got them was no longer in business. There was a nice lady who gave me an ad for all the trays that they offered and I picked one the only thing I ask was if they could changed a cheese because there was another one I liked better and she said sure no problem, I gave her a time which I wanted to pick it up and that was it. I went to pick it up on the day that I said that I would be back to pick it up another lady was there also there was two other women there and they all went back to get the tray a few minutes later they said they was no order for the tray I said " Oh yes they was" she had the nerve to ask me if I had went to another store to place the order which made me a little mad I said I KNOW WHAT FREAKING STORE I WAS IN WHEN I PLACED THE ORDER then I said where is it and she said it wasn't there and sorry about that! This was the first tray I tried to order from this store and " Sorry about that" doesn't cut it!!!! If they couldn't get it right the first time what would make a person think that they would ever get it right ever ? Plus now I have to go home and tell everyone else Sorry about that they couldn't do there job and have a tray for us to enjoy! So no tray then get insulted that I didn't know what store I went to to place and pick up the tray! Don't think I'll be coming back to this store to put up with anymore B.S. thank you but no thank you!
Store is like going back in time to the 1990s. It’s overall one of the cleaner Acmes. But just like every single one of them you have to check the expiration on EVERYTHING you buy. Lots of beverage mixes, dry goods from several months back. Items like Mac and cheese that would be good for a year or more at Meijer are expiring in a couple months here. The prices are ridiculous. Nearly $10 for ricotta cheese?!?!? And what’s up with the service deli at any Acme. Is it actually a service deli with everything pre sliced and pre cut? I asked for a specific amount of a deli item and she just said hand me two of the ones that are out there already and I’ll make it the amount you want. Do they slice anything to order anymore? Just not worth the hassle of going here anymore.
Shopping here since the 80's love there meat sales when they have them?. I can also pretty much get everything I need here grocery shopping ordering flowers plus the great bakery. Prices are a tad bit more higher maybe they can lower prices a little. They get mad business from the Elderly as well! There also on fixed incomes and cant survive off of what they make every month.
Check everything before you put it in your cart. I have wasted hundreds of dollars over the past couple years on expired products from this store. Last night I bought pepperoni that expired 5 months ago. Didn't realize it before I put it in a casserole. Most of the time the produce is decomposing on the shelf so that's easy to see. The bread expires tomorrow i don't care what day you look. I can't believe we live in a first world country where our supermarkets are filled with expired and molding food. I'm about done with this supermarket.
Back in 2014, the Ellet Acme Fresh Market was a great place. Low prices good people and generally a good environment. Fast-forward to 2022, it's is the exact opposite.on top of higher prices established in 20-21, inflation has hit acame hard. I just went today and for food that lasts about a week, and the end total was unbelievable.$142. I hope that in the future things will change.
