"Our Garneau location was built with the University of Alberta community in mind. It serves as a hub for students, professors, parents, and hospital members. It is located just a couple of blocks away from the Univerity of Alberta, Whyte Ave, and the Edmonton River Valley. The coffee bar is our only location that offers beautiful croissant and bagel sandwiches, and the coffee is made using some of the best equipment available. These features make it the ideal location for socializing, meetings and catching a quick bite to eat before heading out for the rest of your day."

This place was totally packed at around 12-12:30. We didn’t get a table to sit on. The oat flat white was good but expensive. I wanted to spend sone time there with my friend but as there was no table free, I left in 10 minutes. But latte work on oat milk was commendable!
Jam packed neighbourhood always, but if your able to walk or find parking one of the best cafes in the city. Doughnuts are phenomenal and other food like breakfast sandwiches are great too. Espresso, coffee and tea are fantastic though sizes are smaller than your chains with prices being average $4-5 like everyone else nowadays. Ace espresso is highly recommended.
Amazing donuts-fresh not doughy and great coffee all in a cool looking light industrial atmosphere…. Coffee is roasted on site! Friendly helpful service. Take your favourite blend home!
I like the coffee here. It’s going to be expensive because it’s a place that really focuses on the coffee. If you want a coffee experience, come here, but if you simply want a caffeine kick, maybe not your cup of joe. I like their donuts, it’s the crispy on the outside. I I’ve tried the custard, strawberry shortcake and Nutella. I am still biased to the strawberry shortcake. The cream and crispy outside of the donut goes really well together.
Seems like a cool little place. Nice decor inside and nice and quiet. Latte was very good but on the small size. Ham breakfast sandwich was outstanding. Excellent service. Thanks!Food: 5/5
I had ace coffee a few days ago and I keep thinking of it. It’s sooooo good literally the best coffee I ever had and the customer service was amazing!! It would be nice to have more seating but you can enjoy this coffee on the go as much as you’d enjoy it in the cafe.
Boyfriend and I got donuts and they were so soft and fresh !! The coffees were good , but on the small side especially for the price. Parking was also terrible as there is major construction going on. Overall, the coffee was good , but expensive; donuts were 10/10, & location/parking was difficult. Parking: Construction going on as of January 2023, difficult to find parking
This place is boujee. The U of A fam mostly crowd this place studying or vibing before class. I'm not sure why the staff wouldn't let me have my americano in a cup that was bigger than the size I ordered. I have a medical issue that makes me shake, and of coarse, I spilled my cup as it was filled right to the top. I need that extra space. The customer service rep said, "I don't make the rules." A minor inconvenience but coffee spilled on my leg wasn't a nice experience. A paper cup with a little extra space, and I was "denied!" LOL Will go again... Parking: Hospital and Uni. No parking. I drove in circles and finally found a spot.
Best coffee in Alberta. Would give it five stars but no almond croissant??? Like they have a ham and cheese croissant but who would pick that over an almond croissant.
Wow. I have loved visiting Ace Coffee in the Whyte Ave area and was completely delighted to find out about this Garneau location. It is so cute - as to be expected. The staff is engaged and delightful - true tens! I came with an appetite last Saturday morning and had heard amazing things about their breakfast bagel sandwich. Sadly they were all out of their bagels - AND I AM SO GLAD! I decided to go with the OG breakfast sandwich, as Ace designed it to be . It comes on a croissant!!!! I am not sure I will ever be able to trust the person that recommended exchanging a croissant for a bagel! The sandwich was INCREDIBLE. The croissant was perfect, fresh veggies, avocado and that sauce...yum. Bad photo, Great sandwich Yep, I will be returning as my Saturdays deserves that breakfast sandwich over and over again!!
