99 Restaurants

99 in Saugus - what a disgrace! We were approached at the door for a donation. Children came to our table for a donation, When we were leaving we were asked again by children inside the restaurant for a donation . When I dine out I would like to enjoy the meal. I do not want to be bothered by people begging for a donation. If I want that I can go for a drive and give to panhandlers. We will not be frequenting that restaurant anytime soon.

I have been to the 99 twice in the past two weeks each time a different location.The RT1 location we got Carry out,A Chicken Cesar Salad,two burgers and a bowl of seafood chowder.The chowder was typical, good enough but nothing to rave about.The Chicken Cesar was a disappointment the chicken meat not only looked like pressed deli meat but tasted like it too. The romaine lettuce was drenched in so much dressing there was a pool of it left at the bottom of the container this must have happened because we ordered it specifically with extra dressing on the side.The burgers should have been red flaged as I ordered them because one came with 2 sides while the second which was more expensive came with only one.When asked the server couldn't explain.Burger #1 was ordered with lettuce, tomato,cheddar cheese,Cole slaw and F.F., well done. It was served with onions as well as being cooked medium at best, the french fries were mushy and under cooked. Burger #2Was ordered because at 6:00 P.M.they had already run out of prime rib. We ask for the largest burger they serve cooked medium rare American cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise.This burger although 3.00 more expensive came with only one side, we chose cole slaw.What we got home with was over cooked, sauteed onions, bacon and a""secret sauce"" of some kind that drenched the roll, so wet it was impossible to pick up the sandwich.With a modest tip for the girl who brought it to the car and 60.00 of our entertainment money for the month was gone.

Prime rib was dry and tough. Manager took it off our bill. The air conditioner was too high. The waitress Josephine was great!

Awful. Used to be a big fan. order a very simple bacon cheeseburger well done came out rare. Left without eating what a disappointment
