Since 2014, we've been proudly serving pets and their families in the Markham Area.

Story

At 16th Avenue Animal Hospital, we provide high quality veterinary services at a quality rate. We are run by a compassionate and motivated team of doctors, technicians and assistants that strive to keep your furry family members happy and healthy for life.

Dr. P Brar and Dr. B Yogi are our dedicated doctors at 16th Avenue Animal Hospital. They have many years of experience in the animal field and are happy to work with you and your pet to provide the best quality of life for your animal even from your own home.

We take walk-ins or you can call 905-554-7210 to make an appointment. Dr Brar does house calls as well, please call us for more information.

I called this clinic around 8 pm as I was looking for someone to talk to after our dog ate chocolates. I was surprised Dr Brar or Dr Brown..not sure of spelling.. picked up my call and kept me calm , asked me questions and gave me advise. He was so willing to help even though it was just a random call from someone he doesn't even know. He offered options but since they are already closed, he suggested another emergency clinic. We did end up going to the emergency clinic instead. The next day Dr even called me back to check how the dog is doing.. Pretty impressed with this clinic and how they showed they care and not just trying to get your business.. I recommend this clinic after having a good experience with the Dr on the phone. He really sounded he cares!

Snoopy is my first puppy so I did not walk in with high expectations but WOW. Every single one of the staff are extremely knowledgeable, kind, and patient. I remember being on the phone, firing a million and one questions (as most first-time dog owners do); not only were they all answered but I hung up feeling SO comfortable. I truly believe this quote: "They may forget what you said — but they will never forget how you made them feel." --CARL W. BUEHNER This is why I will always recommend 16th Ave Animal Hospital to any one of my friends and family. I feel so lucky to know my dearest Snoopy is in great hands.

NEVER go to this animal hospital! Very unprofessional and charges extremely unreasonable. I don’t remember his name but was a Indian male. We were trying to do tartar removal for my 3lbs poodle. He is afraid that my poodle would bite him because she refused to open her mouth. So he did do nothing but asked me to open her mouth! He said his own that he can only see the front teeth in this way. Then he gave some explanation on how to do tartar removal with whole process no more than 10 minutes. We decided not to do it there because I could already seen his unprofessional. At the time we were leaving he wanted to charge us $60 with doing nothing! He said it takes time for him, just like a lawyer also charges for consultation! Finally we argued and he waived the charge. But will never come back to the hospital and I strongly doubt their high rankings in Google.

My dog got injured the day before and was in pain the following day - he could barely walk, he was quiet and just not himself. This clinic was very close to me and I was able to get an appointment right away on a Sunday morning. The staff and Dr Yogi were very nice and took care of my dog very well. Dr Yogi took his time to tell me everything about my dogs situation and was 100% honest with me - explaining to me the pros and cons of the options I have for my dogs treatment, which I really appreciate him for. The staff on duty today was also very very sweet and caring!! Thank you so much for the excellent service and care !!

I just recently switched my vet, due to the distance of my old vet. I never experienced such amazing service, the vet and staff there are always so understanding and you feel like they genuinely care for your pet and want to help them and make sure your pet is going to live a long and healthy life!!!
