Zelikovitz Leathers

They don’t seem to guarantee their work anymore. Had a dog collar made for my St-Bernard, and the rivet popped after 2 years. Apparently they don’t do repair work anymore. Very sad that they won’t even fix what they created. Edit: note they wouldn’t even let me pay to have the collar fixed. This is not about cost, it’s about service. Furthermore: I think the answer of the owner says all I need to know about this company. They used to provide great service, now apparently they don’t do that anymore.

They have a decent selection of supplies, but for some reason refuse to refund or exchange defective tools. I bought a Zelikovitz brand button hole punch that was not even slightly sharp and was refused an exchange. To be fair, it appeared that all the punches were equally deficient, so an exchange wouldn't have helped. But no refund either. Definitely not a great sign about quality control in their house brand of tools. I was hoping they would be my regular local supply shop, but apparently I'll instead mail order from retailers out west who actually stand behind their wares.

Lots of great supplies for leather and craft tools as well as beads. Great place will go back often now that I’ve seen what they have.

Love this store. From beads, to bridle/saddle leather and parts, books, leather hides, leather scraps, dyes, leather care and more, this is a great store to browse in, buy from, or take a course. Additionally staff are knowledgable.

What a great store to have in Ottawa! My wife's goat leather jacket developed a small hole in the back of it. Goat leather is a very unique and leather and we thought that we would not be able to match the color of the jacket. After checking various stores that were recommended to us, we ended up at Zelikovitz Leathers. We found a goat hide that was a perfect match at a very reasonable price. The staff member was very helpful and pleasant. Many thanks again!

I've been shopping here since it was called Tandy leather and I've never had a problem. Always a lovely experience and I usually find what I'm looking for. The staff is helpful and there's a great selection

Bought a piece of leather off Amazon, was supposed to be 12 to 15 square feet. Received less than 10 square feet. Kept blowing me off finally said they would send me another small piece to make up for it. They printed a label but never shipped it. Amazon refunded my money. Be warned they are crooks.
