It is always busy here. There is always something happening here. It is great for events, sports, and other gatherings. There used to be cat shows here at one point until they found a different location.nnIt is next to the busy bus terminal, so it is convenient to come and go. I often come here for various events.
I was there for the 2024 Auburn High School Graduation Ceremony . The only drawback to the Ceremony was how hot it got in the Sportsplex!! It would of be nice if there was some air conditioning.
Just my opinion, I think the price is too high for just a normal community centre. Not even a sauna in the changing room and the whirlpool tub is small that are always occupied with a lot of people. Staff are nice though.
I play hockey at this rink from 10-11:30pm. This has been the case for about 15 years.nnI arrived at the rink at 9:53pm to find the facility locked and closed.nnThis has happened on another occasion where I had arrived at 10:04pm not realizing they lock the doors at 10:00 clearly a newer policy. I had to wait at a separate set of doors hoping someone would exit from it so I could go in.nnIt’s pretty ridiculous that from a 10:00-11:30 ice time we would not be able to exit to even run to our vehicle if we forgot something if it’s past 10:00pm. Some of our guys drive 45 minutes to get to the rink so god forbid they run into a delay that puts them almost at 10:00 because at that point they won’t be able to get in.nnThe employee who closed early was condescending when I mentioned it wasn’t 10:00pm yet, thankfully after banging on the window I was able to grab his attention to let me in.nnThis was yesterday Friday night
I've always liked this gym. The new renos a few years ago are fabulous and were definitely needed. The workout area is great. Staff is usually friendly and helpful. My only complaint might be the machines take a bit to be fixed when they break.
