I went in with my cousin, this place is THE ABSOLUTE WORST SALON EVER!!! Who taught these people how to 'cut hair'?! I went in to get some light colored highlights, few streaks. They couldn't even follow simple instructions!!! They also gave me a 'fade' and let me tell you, that was NOT even close to a fade! He assured me that he knew what he was doing! Oh my goodness the rage I'm feeling right now cannot begin to explain what I feel towards this salon! Absolutely furious!!! They had the nerve to charge $100, I didn't even thank them, I just left. People, please save your money, go elsewhere!

I extremely satisfied with this salon. Thomas has been cutting my hair for almost two years and I have never had it coloured as well by any previous stylist. My daughter was married on Christmas Eve and Thomas did my hair and Zara did a great updo for my daughter. She did full make-up for both of us and without wishing to sound vain we looked fantastic. My daughter is lovely anyway but she looked outstanding for her special day and one guest thought I couldn't be the mother of the bride as I didn't look old enough-go Zara! See you both in January.

I've been going to Zara's for a little over a year now and I will never go anywhere else again! When I first went my hair was fried after a slew of terrible experiences with poorly trained colourists in the past. I thought it would take a miracle to fix, but it turns out all it took was her. My hair is so healthy and grows so fast now. I've tried multiple services, facials, lash extensions etc. as well and that place is like my little haven. Now even my own kids won't let anyone do their hair other then Zara and Tom, after Zara did their hair for a wedding in which they were flower girls. She even did their make-up to help make them feel special. I never thought I would see my kids willing to sit still through a hair cut or not complain but Zara makes them feel like such important costumers that I've seen an increase in their self esteem and willingness to listen.

As a mom of 2 boys, I never had the perfect time to do my hair. So I thought its time for a change and with the limited free time I have, Zara made it happen to me! They are just very welcoming and friendly. I am a new client and I feel really valued already. Especially when I see the result, I was just mind-blown. The lady did a perfect mid-length bob cut and balayage colour that matches my skin tone! AND everything was really affordable too compared to most places around Barrhaven. I feel really lucky to have found this place! I highly recommend this place! PS. they do hair cuts for kids too - even under 2 years old!

I've been here twice now for a wash, cut and style and I've been very happy every time. They are really friendly and their prices are reasonable. Thomas gives great advice, which is appreciated because most times I never know what to do with my hair. I will be returning in a few weeks to get my hair dyed and I expect nothing but fantastic service.

Although I liked my cut, my colour was horrible. When I got home I realized that Zara had burnt my hair when doing highlights - chemical burn - my hair was absolutely fried! When I went back to talk to her, she said that I just have to wait and grow it out! I gave her the benefit of the doubt and returned to have my roots touched up no highlights! and she didn't show up for the appointment. Thomas tried to do my roots and Zara came back from shopping just in time to overcharge me for my colour. Never going back again!!!

Worst haircut I have ever received. I just asked for a trim to get rid of split ends. My hair is long and all one length, no layers or anything complicated. I got home and noticed that on one side of my hair, there were still long pieces that hadn’t even been cut and the two sides are lopsided! Now I have to go to another salon to get this fixed...oh, and they charged $50 for a simple trim no styling or anything!! I tried messaging them with feedback and a picture of my hair and never heard back. Very disappointed.

I can't comment on adult haircut, but the kids haircut is no where satisfactory. I saw no experience in handling a kid and lots of complaints. It was a shabby job done and claimed that this was best the man could do. I have gone to few salons before with my son and had way better haircut for the same price.

I wanted to get a full head of highlights and the woman said $250. I thought that was a high price since my hair is chin length. I then decided to go my old favorite salon at Bayshore mall on the 1st level. They said the same job would cost $150! I got it done and it turned out amazing. I saved $100! I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone. They are liars and overcharge.

Went in today for a hair cut and conditioning treatment and was very pleased with my experience and the service. I didnt know what to expect however im glad I went. She took her time with me and gave me exactly what I was looking for. Great scalp massage as well. I look forward to trying out other services.
