Yours Truly Restaurant

I live in California now but every time I come home to visit the family I have to come to Yours Truly restaurant. If I get to pick where we eat then I would pick this place. To me it's very much like comfort food. The environment reminds me of how much my grandfather liked the place. Doesn't feel like I visited home unless I stop here.

Servers are always very nice. Food is pretty good, but above average diner food basically. Nothing to go out of your way for, but a good lunch place. Full disclosure, I've only ever had their sandwiches/burgers. I've been there about three times, and will likely go back at some point.

Was very busy (it was New Year's day), but they still seated our group of 8 very quickly. The waitress was friendly and helpful. She checked on our table just often enough that we always got what we needed but she didn't hover, I love that. I ordered the breakfast burrito. When the plates came, my food looked small compared to what everyone else got, but was exactly the right amount of food. Not overly stuffed, but definitely full and satisfied. For the table, we also ordered the loaded fries (can't remember the menu name for them), those were delicious!

The food here is amazing. The notso fries are so good (and terribly bad for you 😄). My absolute favorite is the fish fry which is only available on Fridays. Their tartar sauce is the best that I have ever had. I also love the chicken walnut salad as well. So many great options!

Excelente for breakfast! About 6 months ago a business partner recommended this restaurant for a breakfast meeting and the next time we were in town we decided we had to do breakfast here again, and we had the excuse of meeting for business. Orange juice is freshly squeezed and one can taste the fresh ingredients in every bite of whatever you order. I ordered the Eggs Bruscheta and the Monster Hash, which in itself may sound like a semi-healthy option but the cheese on top of the hash brown makes it full of guilt as it is full of flavor. The Eggs Bruscheta are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, specially if you want to have some spinach in the morning. Regular coffee from here is fine, but nothing to wake you up if you are used to drink espressos. We are already planning on a business trip so we can have breakfast here again...
