By far the best sushi experience I've had in Whitby! This new sushi restaurant is kicking off their new business with exceptional food and service at extremely fair prices. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive to all customers. The fish is fresh and prepared beautifully. The shrimp tempura is a steal and tastes amazing! Rolls and sushi are delicious due to the perfectly seasoned rice. Get a discount if paying by cash. Decor is beautiful and lots of space between tables and other customers. A wonderful experience that I would recommend to all. Will return for sure!
Went here based on all the good reviews and decided to try “local” sushi, rather than driving out to Scarborough/Markham. The service was amazing and staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Appreciated the discount when paying in cash. Food was fresh, however, the rice one of the most important ingredients for sushi was not properly seasoned. They did not use enough vinegar, therefore affecting the overall taste.
My wife and I went here for the first time yesterday and were blown away! All our food tasted great the fish was super fresh. We ended up ordering too much food because the portions were larger than we expected not a bad problem to have!. Price is very reasonable for a sushi place. Definitely will be going back in the future.Food: 5/5
I'll let the pictures of the food speak for itself! Fantastic value and friendly folks. The food was very tasty and fresh. We ordered Combo H I believe, spring rolls as well as a salmon poke. It was a much larger serving than expected
It's a nice modern looking space with friendly staff. The presentation was great, the fish was fresh and we loved the seaweed salad. We thought the imitation crab they use in their rolls to be quite strong fishy tasting and the rice could use more seasoning. We enjoyed our meal but thought that it didn't really stand out when compared to other places in the area.
We've been to at least 95% of Durham's sushi places. We've been here twice and both times we were VERY happy with the food and our experience at @younee.sushi that we've decided it as our favorite sushi place. We ordered the "Younee Dinner For Two" and a couple of Torch Salmon Sushi. The fish in general tasted FRESH, CLEAN, and LIGHT. The flavor was there and the sauces were flavorful without overpowering the dishes. The beef tenderloin was juicy and perfect with the rice. The quality is just BETTER. OUR FAVORITE was the Torched White Tuna. This place has the BEST White Tuna anything. Lastly, the service was great! Timely, polite and friendly Totally recommend this place!
This sushi tastes… HEAVENLY!! so far the best sushi place in Whitby. It’s totally worth the visit! We ordered a combo and all of them taste so authentic, fresh, juicy and the fish are so tender. They definitely put efforts into making very professional sushi. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Takes time to make good sushi. If you haven’t done so, go tabs some rolls and satisfy your craving stomach!! It’s totally worth a FIVE STAR!
New spot in Whitby! Vibe of the restaurant is nice and clean, service was great. We had the Salmon Ozhisushi and Combo G and both were good. Tough to find good sushi in Durham, but this place is definitely up there. One of the only places in Durham that does torched and pressed sushi. Did not disappoint. The auntie told us that lunch specials and more menu items were on the way! Excited to return!
Went here for dinner tonight with my sister after our dad recommended it. We ordered the shrimp tempura and takoyaki as appetizers and she had the chicken teriyaki while I had the coconut shrimp poke bowl. Everything was delicious!! Service was fast and the portions were very filling! Servers were very nice. The only thing I will say for the poke bowl, is to not add so much iceberg lettuce. I took out quite a bit of lettuce from the bowl in order to eat the other things I wanted...seaweed salad, edemame, pineapple, shrimp etc. I can understand the lettuce was used to properly showcase the ingredients like the picture but was still too much. In the end, we went home with full tummies and will definitely come back again!
Just opened earlier this month, a much needed quality sushi place in Durham. My first time here, the place is clean and the food is hot soup or cold salad & sushi as required. Portions are great and for bonus points, the service is attentive and pleasant. Currently, they have a promo going on where if you pay cash when dining in, you get 10% off, if you take out, you get 20% off. I’m looking forward to coming here more often. More so when the menu expands to officially having soup on the menu.
