Yorktown Family Medicine

Dr. Lorraine Lee runs her practice like big business. Not sure if she is a good doctor but before getting to meet her, the receptionist ask you to sign off on uninsured fees and clinic rules which indicate that she can be late but you can't (not even 10 mins). What happened to putting patient care first? I understand that these rules are in place for a reason but it is tacky to require your patient to adhere to rules before even meeting them. The doctor should put patient care and customer service ahead of the business issues. She took the Hippocratic Oath to care for patients and that should be her first priority.

Dr. Kim is so patient with me, and I'm a very nervous patient. She listens and I find that if I'm upset about something that she is very calming. Also, doesn't seem judgmental in the way I've seen other docs behave. Encourages the healthy choices without a lecture. Truly lucky to be a patient here.

Dr Ji Hyun Kim was the worst family doctor I've ever had. I wasted an entire year consulting with her on my physical and mental health changes going through millions of tests and appointments for nothing, then one final word after a simple two-page questionnaire was, okay, you are depressed; take this medication. No genuine care was witnessed. Her response was "What's wrong? Many people are on this med." The doctor did not care about the patient's concerns but her own time to be paid. I changed my family doctor after then and am very happy with my current Doctor who listens to the patients and shares honest suggestions and professional advice, not only from the books but from their heart. I do not need a doctor who tells me, "Sorry, time's up. Make another appointment for that question." I don't care how knowledgeable or well educated the doctor is. I need a genuine DOCTOR.

Very professional - don't over book. Dr is easy to talk to for the most part. I really like this practice.
