The office staff is very friendly and welcoming. My physiotherapist - Clement is amazing to work with. He has extensive knowledge of my injury and created a great plan of action for my recovery. His bedside manner is wonderful as well. He not only diagnoses, but he teaches me as we go through my rehab journey - he is always positive and optimistic. His philosophy of recovery and athleticism coincide with mine. I highly recommend him.
I have nothing to say but amazing things about this Centre! Upon entering you are greeted by friendly front-desk staff who typically end up remembering you on a first-name basis, and a clean facility with sanitizer. The best part of the facility is of course the treatment with my physiotherapist, Alana. Who has been amazing. I've been working with Alana since February 2022, and she has been remarkable with applying a holistic approach and not only treating the injured area but the body as a whole. Her support and patient-education is unlike any other that I've had in the past. She is open, honest, and works in a individual focused approach where the plan of care is tailored to your specific need. She is professional, but I can speak with her frankly about what I am going through and where I struggle with my performance, as if she were a friend. I highly recommend Athlete's Care at York Mills, and if you're looking for a physiotherapist, Alana is definitely a go-to!
Athletes care is a good physio centre in general but I love this one particularly because because Omar works here and he is the BEST PHYSIO EVER. When I first came to Omar, it was for an ankle injury that happened right before the pandemic so I couldn’t get it treated. By the time I came to him almost two years later, it had turned chronic and I still couldn’t run used to be a runner before the pandemic. Omar has some kind of magic because he helped heal a chronic injury and got me running again! I’m so grateful to him. I do work a super sedentary job so I’ve continued to come to Omar from time to time due to issues that occur due to that and he’s helped fix every issue I have. I basically trust Omar with my life. He is the best of all time. The absolute GOAT of physiotherapists. It also helps that the location is super convenient, the staff is AMAZING, it’s always clean and they do such an amazing job of working with you in advance to schedule you in as per your convenience.
I had a wonderful physio experience with Alana. From the minute I started my session and right through the end. She was very attentive and a great listener when I was explaining the pain was feeling. She asked all the right questions to help understand my case even more. Her techniques and methods helped alleviate my pain and I will be going back to her consistently to be treated. I highly would recommend her to everyone.
I saw Alana for my back pain and she was incredible. She went above and beyond to assess, educate me, and put together a comprehensive treatment plan. She used a combination of soft tissue work, manual therapy, education and exercise to help remedy my back. During the whole process she was friendly, understanding, professional, and truly cares for her patients. I've been to other physios before, but none as good as Alana. Athlete's care is lucky to have a fantastic physiotherapist.
Alana is a great physio! She helped me gain back my strength and confidence after my ankle injury. I play sports all year round and Alana explained clearly what I needed to do to get my body back in shape. She was so patient and helpful. I also really appreciated the stretches she taught me - I still do these at home after games. Thanks again, Alana!
Ghazal has been amazing throughout my lead up to, and recovery from shoulder surgery. She has worked with me for almost a year to strengthen my shoulder to where I now have almost full strength and range of motion back. She is amazing, as are all of the staff. I highly recommend them!
The service here is great! I wasn't sure how to articulate the kind of pain I was having, but my physiotherapist Alana knew exactly what questions to ask in order to identify the issue. The treatment care is excellent and the exercises she prescribed work like a charm! Highly recommend.
I am so happy to have found this center, and they are doing an amazing job in helping me. I came here after a year with a long string of running injuries, feeling almost hopeless and ready to give up running. Instead, Alana has been fantastic and with her help and guidance I have been running since several month without a single injury. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.
Last summer, I had a bad fall and injured my right knee. I started the physio with Alana Coutts on this center. In a matter for weeks, with small and constant wins I as able to regain my full mobility and now I am getting ready to start running. Thank You Alana. This is a great place with great professional. Highly recommended.
