"Enfield Charter Market is operated by The Old Enfield Charitable Trust. The first mention of the Market goes back to 1303. Held in a historical Market Square in the centre of Enfield Town with the beautiful backdrop of St Andrew's Church. Approx. 30 stalls are occupied Thurs - Sat with a Craft Market on the 3rd Sunday of each month.Stalls include fruit & veg, bread, jewellery, crystals, meat, menswear, ladieswear, fish, flowers & plants, gifts, books, candles, watches & repairs, barber, hair accessories and street food from around the World.The traders give a warm friendly welcome. There is a bandstand in the centre where you will sometimes find buskers/entertainers performing.New traders are always welcomee: [email protected]"

Great food with lots to choose from, perfect for a family day out as its very family friendly environment. Full of innovative, quality traders, Enfield Market has something for everyone, from household staples to more specialist goods the variety allows it to be a fun day out for people of all ages.
Great little market, especially at this time of year! Often some craft stalls open, so you can pick up some great hand-made gifts and Christmas decorations! Lots of food stalls as well, and the King's Head pub to the rear..... what's not to like? Update 29th May 2022 - A few more craft type stalls have appeared at the market over recent weeks so worth a visit if you are looking for something 'not on the high street'! And there is now a mobile barber shop....really nice guy who also goes around local care homes for those not so mobile, so worth supporting a great local business who also supports others in the community!
Always can found good street food there, plenty of choices... Being social feeling still alive here...
This is a great location for families to hang out and enjoy a delicious supper. Support the market because the quality is great and the vendors are so nice!

For a market that's been in Enfield for over 700 years this market is slowly losing its appeal
Tiny market but great food stall at the back
This is an amazing local market that happens on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. You could have the experience to buy locally farmed products, or eat delicious street food or even on Saturdays getting surprised by local musicians or electronic music producers DJs. For example on Saturdays Ramone LondonDj often plays electronic music at the bandstand
Boring .. not what it used to be.. needs better managing
Neither as busy nor as many stallholders as prior to the worsening financial situation but well worth visiting as it's so steeped in history.
