Called for a cab in mid December 2022 at 11:45PM. The dispatcher said it was a 30 to 45 minute wait. We weren't in a hurry so we said we were fine with the wait. The cab should have picked us up around 12:30AM, but there was no sign of our ride at that time. I called dispatch at 01:22AM, and was told I was #3 on their list for next pick-ups. We waited until after 04:00am, gave up on the cab and slept long enough for our friends to sober up to drive us home. I actually called back 24 hours later on the next night at 11:45PM and asked where the cab I ordered for Harris Street disappeared to. The dispatcher told me I was now #1 on the list for next pick-up. No cab ever showed up at the location I requested. This cab company is completely unreliable, not sure how they can even stay in business. Their dispatch office isn't even local, I have since been told they are trying to dispatch Taxi's in Charlottetown PEI from somewhere outside of Canada. If you need a ride, don't bother calling these clowns, you can hitchhike or walk and get home quicker.
I have tried to give Yellow Cab the benefit of the doubt but they keep failing. First time I thought no big deal, I was in a rush. Second time my husband called them to get us from a party and the cab never showed. We called again and was told the cab came and picked someone up but we were ready and waiting and no cab came. We called a third time that night when the second cab didn't arrive and were yelled at. We got a ride home when our friend called her mom. I called this weekend in advance for a specific time and after 20 minutes the cab hadn't arrived. When I tried to speak to an operator I got disconnected. I called City cab and they arrived in 7 minutes. I canceled Yellow but we had to them to bring us home after the staff party because the company was supposed to pay for Yellow Cab. We ended up sharing a cab with other people and I'm glad we did because as we were on the way home I got texts saying a cab was on the way. 40 minutes after I called. I called them back and canceled and I received at least 4 texts about different cabs on the way to get me. It was messed up. The driver told us he was sitting around for 30 minutes waiting for a destination during the time we first waited for a cab. They outsource their calls and have fewer cars available because most drivers have quit. They are completely unreliable now and I feel bad for the drivers because I know they probably get yelled at.
If I could give zero stars I would. I sent an email to them two weeks ago asking questions with no response. I decided to still give them a try so I booked the cab on Tuesday October 24th 2022 for Thursday morning October 26th 2022 to arrive at my destination at 10:15 am. I waited 45 minutes and the cab didn't show up. I called at 10:30 to be told by the automated service that my booking was valid even though I didn't receive a confirmation email or text. I thought okay great they may just be running late. I then called at 10:50 and got the same response so at 11:01 I canceled the ride. Good thing I didn't have an appointment or need to get to the airport. I will never use this cab company again.
I booked a week in advance for a ride from Malpeque to the airport. 45 minutes drive to the airport. It was confirmed online and I called 2 hours before my pick up time 3pm to make sure they were coming. I was assured they were. It is now 3:20 and when I called I was told “we are super busy and are still trying to get a car for you” Really? So now I miss my flight I guess. Such bad service. Absolute worst customer service experience I have ever had. Truly cannot say enough bad things about this company. Dispatcher lied twice that the cab was 5 minutes away when it actually was never dispatched in the first place. This left 6 people stranded, and after confronting them about this issue I was told there was nothing they can do and was met with rude attitudes from two dispatchers, a man and a woman. Also, the female dispatcher picked up my call with “Blue Line” not Yellow Cab? Big red flag. Save your time and get home safe with another cab company.
Do not use this cab company. Used the website to book cab to the airport, more than 24 hours in advance. The tech. worked great, their ability to use it - not so much. Cab never showed up. Calls to ask for status resulted in being told they were really busy and they would get to us "soon". Called City Taxi and they showed up in 10 minutes
Very incredibly obnoxious and rude staff!!! Terrible service! Will not use again! Not only could they not locate the only intermediate school in town!!! when requesting a female driver for safety, they said “you can’t pick and choose”. I told them as feedback people want to feel safe and many women can’t travel with male drivers, they started getting rude and defensive. When I said they should bring feedback back to management, they yelled at me and said “don’t tell me how to do my job” and hung up!!! Worst cab company ever. License should be revoked. This company is “under new management?” Some management!!!!
They are very busy like any other cabs but the fact they are untruthful about the wait times is absurd. They will tell you 30 mins wait time and make you wait over an hour and half. I almost missed my flight once due to the delay and after calling back multiple times the dispatcher told me there were only 2 drivers on the road. Why do you take calls if you know you have limited drivers out. I never give bad reviews but I hope this may alert people or pave way for improvement.
I called a cab at 3:42pm, called back at 418 was told another 10-20 mins... well I waited until 520 pm when I hitched a ride with a friend I knew... an hour an a half wait with no warning, nothing. The lady on the phone was sweet and it wasn't her fault but man just tell people no at that point...
Booked a cab online because my phone calls weren't being answered. After about 30 minutes of waiting, it said a driver would be with me in about 1 minute. Eventually it said "in progress" as if I was in the car. Thn it asked me to rate my trip with them? Bro I haven't even moved a centimeter. I understand there are busy nights. But this is rediculous. Could not be more unsatisfied.
