The skirt steak was amazing. Watch those chili’s- spicy!!!! The skirt steak salad was a good balance for my belly. The octopus was so nice better than toro bravo in Portland before they closed and that’s saying a lot. We loved the margarita fresh ones are not sweet/ sugary. Wish we had a place like this near our home.
Upscale Latin food with outstanding menu items. If you're interested in something other than tacos, you must try this place. They offer everything from grilled octopus to Ahi to traditional upscale Mexican dishes. The menu is diverse & extensive. It's become our favorite fine dining Mexican restaurant in Redmond. Come early or you'll be waiting for a table. In the summer they offer outdoor seating to enjoy a delicious exotic cocktail with dinner. Never a disappointment... no regrets! It's family owned & family staffed.
Hands down, this is the BEST Latin / Mexican food in Central Oregon. If you are looking for an authentic, more healthful, non-“Americanized” experience, you have to eat here. Located close to the Redmond airport in an unassuming, small shopping center, you would expect this type of restaurant to be in bustling downtown Bend or Redmond, but what’s nice is it’s out of the way, and so worth the drive to get there. It does get busy, especially now that more people are becoming aware of it, not to mention the devoted regulars like me!. We’ve tried most of the menu items, but our favorites are the tacos served with house-made corn tortillas, any of their salads, fresh guacamole, and their appetizer Pulpo a las Brasas grilled octopus. Try it!
Went there for Valentines lunch and loved it. Great food, very clean and what appeared to be an excellent assortment of Tequila. Will definitely go back!
This place is Awe-some ; I’m from SLC and Always have visited family at Redmond; I glad they have this nice place now where you can enjoy great and delicious food : I tried oven baked ribs and Salmon also . I don’t drink alcohol but saw a lot of people enjoying cocktails at the outdoor seating and they seen enjoying them. Definitely will be my must to go place for the next road trip
This was some of the the best Latin cuisine I have had in a long time! The vegetarian tacos were absolutely amazing!!! The lime mojito was spot on. Can’t wait to try more menu items. Thank you for the amazing food and service.
Well we had a busy day coming from Portland and ending up in Redmond for the night and decided to have a meal out. Turned out for the best. The place we had in mind was no comparison to this wonderful place. If you know about it good!! If you don’t and love awesome well represented priced with customer service at excellent then go have a meal at Xalisco Latin Cuisine most definitely the best south of the border food ever. Thank you chefs for the amazing cuisine and presentation of the plates . And the wait staff very professional personable and just plainly awesome. My wife and I enjoyed your establishment. And will return every time we are in town.
At first impression its definitely a little more modern and upscale restaurant with outdoor seating. Not your traditional colorful decor that you would find at a common Mexican restaurant. I came in around noon. Not a lot of people, only three tables were taken up. I was greeted promptly and self sat. The bartender/waiter got my order which consisted of a Chile Relleno with a side of rice and refried pinto beans. My drink of choice was a coke. The host promptly brought over three small corn tortillas with a dish of salsa. Which I very much enjoyed. Glad to see that there are still places that make homemade tortillas. They were on the small side to my liking. Now the food was delicious. I had inquired on what type of pepper they used for the Chile Relleno and to my surprise they were Poblano Peppers. Which I very much prefer. Many restaurants use anaheim due to the lower cost. Presentation was well done as you can see from the photo provided. One thing that definitely sets them apart from other Mexican restaurants. The food is not all cluttered on one plate. The rice was delicious and cooked to perfection. The refried beans were not lacking taste one bit. I whole heartily enjoyed my lunch. I do have to say it was the best Chile Relleno I have had in Central Oregon. Only second to my mother's. That's saying a lot. The staff was very on top of it as the lunch rush came in. The bartender checked on me multiple times and did not let my drink fall empty at all. I will definitely stop by again and enjoy the fish dish that was being made as the aroma made it's way over to me and maybe a margarita or two.
The menu is similar to Carnival downtown. I think the owner or chef used to work there but don't know for sure. I never asked but thats the rumor. The dining room small and bright with some outside dining. Get there before the dinner rush otherwise you will wait. Had the fresh margarita and mixed ceviche with shrimp, octopus, and fish. Marg was excellent and ceviche was spicy, buyer beware, but very good flavor and a pretty good portion. For entree had the beef ribs. These were good sized, cooked to tender and full of flavor. The two sauces that came with it are amazing. For desert we had churros. They were crispy and not doughy on the inside. That is my preference though. Wished there was a larger portion of ice cream. The service great and prices are comparable to Diegos, madalines, and carnaval. Id say the food there competes with the fore mentioned. Will definitely go back to try other items on the menu.
THE BEST Mexican/Latin food in Redmond. 6 star service, best margaritas in Central Oregon.
