Great Park that hosts many different outdoor opportunities. There is a large jungle gym for the little ones and as well as splash pad in the summer where the water sprinkles out of the ground. In the winter there was a small ice rink this past year currently looks melted. There are Community Gardens and the stop Community Food Center right in the middle of the park inside the Wytchwood Barns. There is a closed dog pen for dogs to run around in and volleyball courts in the summer.
This is one of those ‘Private neighborhoods’nElegant houses neatly tucked behind old and humongous trees, not for effects, just how it is..There’s a buried creek here that pools to a very nice pond being used for skating in the winter months. The roads are uphill, downhill and turned all the way to loops, you’ll get confuse, I think that’s the idea so you don’t wander around here. So anyway, Taddle creek winds under those big houses and ends at Davenport Rd. Wychwood Barns Park is a dream! Go visit and say your oohh aaaahhhh. Enjoy!
Very pleasant Saturday morning farmer's market. Vendors have a great selection of goods, ranging from farm-grown produce, frozen seafood, lamb/beef/meats, and farm-picked flowers.nnAlso a nice touch to see vendors selling edible flowers, Tibetan momo dumplings, kombucha on tap, and beeswax products.nnPrices were average i.e high for Toronto farmer's markets.
Really wonderful how these Wychwood Carbarns were preserved and repurposed keeping a bit of Toronto's history in place. The result is a great spot for vendors and the surrounding park is a success too, a focal point for the local community year round.
Nice multipurpose park and facility for events. And it even has a volleyball court but bring your own net. Farmers market every Sat morning.
