Wow Pop Chicken

Wow Pop Chicken has the potential to be something special, its a hole in the wall place that has the opportunity to do something special but it falls short. I was out and about and drove by this place and decided to stop in and check it out. The place doesn't look great, the guy working there was friendly and it looked like they breaded the chicken and cooked it right there. So it wasn't a frozen pre made chicken patty. They are putting in the effort and the sandwich wasn't overly priced. Its just the chicken was very thin, there was just 1 leaf of lettuce on it, the bun and tomato was nice. Its just they need to do better, if I had to chose I would go with A&Ws chicken burger over this, and that shouldn't be the case. Maybe they don't want to increase their prices, however I don't see myself going back for that burger. Parking: Lots of parking.

Prepare to burn your fingertips on some juicy, fresh, crispy, and made to order fried chicken! Best chucked that I have tried since I discovered Mary Browns. A pure diamond in the rough, Diners Drive Ins and Dives you missed 1! I got the 2 piece special with fried and gravy for $9.99 and it was worth every penny! Although the batter was lacking a bit on the seasoning side it didn’t matter because the friendly guy behind the counter offered for me to try their homemade sauces. I choice sweet and spicy and it was a wonderful collision of bbq sauce smashing into what seemed to be Indian spices. Chicken leg resembled the size of a turkey leg and was exploding with juice. Nothing like washing it all down with a Dr Pepper, all this for $12 tax in! Tasty, affordable, and well worth the visit.

I ordered on skip a sweet and spicy mild chicken and received spicy so I couldn’t even eat. I also got cheese spice and there are barely any spicing on that. I called and doesn’t even pick up phone.

The first time I tired the fried chicken and fries were pretty good... The cheddar onion powder was very tasty.... I hoped that the old oil taste was just cause I ordered late... After few times getting chicken wings and fried chicken, the old oil taste is too much and overtakes the tastyness of the seasoning. If got fresh cooked chicken no old oil taste I'd give 5 stars... But unfortunately after eating there 3 or , 4 times now it's consistent the old nasty oil taste. The storefront is in the sketchyest part of town and have to go threw homeless and rough looking locals to go inside...i would order here more often if more attention was paid to the quality of cooking materials.

Hands down the best chicken in the city. Crispy, well sauced, large pieces. Just incredible. I've started coming here instead of SFC seoul fried to get my Korean style fried chicken fix. The original Wow Pop was on the south side, I've been going there for years, they recently closed down. This broke my soul, until I figured out there was this second location! I'd hate for them to close, so I'll throw my money at their chicken as often as I can. The chicken pieces are huge and priced very well, order ahead as all the chicken is made fresh! The guy behind the counter is really great too, super friendly. I always go for the sweet and hot sauce on my chicken, it's a sweet and savory flavor that can not be beat, it's got a mild kick off spice too! They also have a variety of incredible seasonings to choose from! I usually get the sauce on my chicken as I said, but I always order fries with honey butter seasoning If you like chicken, and are sick of the big chains and their bland poultry, look no further than wow pop. Our company ordered this for dinner tonight and I honestly don't understand the bad reviews. We ordered 10 boxes of chicken, with a 45 minute transport and it arrived still warm and crispy. This chicken is delicious, great flavor, good size and some of the crispiest chicken I ever ate.

First time ordering from here, just now. usually, I never put reviews. I ordered 6pc chicken and 2 of them was okay but tastes like the oil hasn’t changed for a while. The rest tasted like old chicken and had a foul smell. Don’t buy from here especially through Uber/ skip. Popeyes is better than this one.

Had it twice, today was the second time. The chicken did not taste good broke it open, smelled expired half the order seemed okay. The fries are good, the sauce flavors are good amount is stingy 6 piece got 2, 2oz containers, they last you 1 piece as a dip. The bubble tea is alright, decent amount of boba in drink. Will not order again.

1st time Went to another place for dinner and it was closed and well thought why not Wow Pop Chicken and Bubble Tea, the Bubble tea was awesome hit the spot um however the Chicken was really dark, either over cooked or Bad Oil. I would say Bad Oil, also tasted fishy. Fries were pretty good. Did Call in and Customer Service was Appreciated, as we try to support our local business. Learn and grow with company and customers. Will try again. Bubble tea was awesome.

Went there for a bubble tea and have to say pretty tasty! Happy to see a bubble tea place in the neighborhood. The gentleman working was also super nice and took time to answer all my questions. Will be back for the chicken though looks amazing price and yummy-ness and report back. UPDATE: Tried the chicken and pop combo one mango flavouring and one soy garlic and was VERY impressed. Chicken was fresh and juicy and the flavouring was spot on. Looking forward to trying more of the menu. Customer service was amazing! Edited for grammar...oops
