If you’re looking for some authentic Korean food this is the place to go! Ordered a 2 person grill set for CA$94 and a few side dishes and it served the 4 of us. Meat was fresh and the marinated meat tasted great. Personal picks are the pork belly, steak and kimchi tofu soup! My daughter loved the corn cheese and had a whole bowl of rice with it. Will def come again!
Tried for the first time. It is on the higher end price wise but it was worth it. The meat tasted fresh and the side dishes were well seasoned. The meat did look and taste good. And the portion size was great. Dinner for two is a good value. Very filling. The staff also recognizes when your grill is too low in heat and come by to fix every once in a while. The do also remove plates at a good pace. Bathrooms were also pretty clean.
I came here for dinner recently. The restaurant had a really good vibe and the servers weren’t afraid to talk/share their opinions. In terms of food, I tried their Seafood Pancake and Combo for 4 with Tangsuyuk, Tofu Soup, and Shredded Beef Soup. All of the items tasted good. The combo for 4 actually had quite a bit of food where it might be enough for 5 people. All the BBQ meats turned out really good and the Pork Jowl stood out the most. Both the Tofu Soup and Shredded beef soup were nice as well.
Don’t trust any advertising. I was here because I checked their instagram and the food on pictures looked so good! When I entered the restaurant during lunch time, there’s no other customers at all. It made me wonder if the lack of patrons was due to the food quality. I ordered beef seafood tofu soup and soup was very bitter and extremely salty. In order not to trouble the kitchen, I asked for a clear soup to dilute the saltiness. however, what’s even more frustrating is that the shrimp in the soup was spoiled and stinky which made me want to disgusting. My husband ordered backbone soup, the soup was so oily! See picture! Bones you can smell a strong meaty odor. It was evident the bones wasn’t freshly cooked that day. This was a very disappointing experience and I won’t come here again. If the food keep this level, I believe they will close in a near future.
This was our first time trying Jung, and we were not disappointed! Service was quick and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. We ordered H2 for lunch and the food was extremely flavorful. Overall I would recommend Jung to anyone looking for delicious Korean food and will be returning!Food: 5/5
The food was great. We ordered the Jung BBQ for two - $94 + Tax. Lots of meat and protein, also the standard sides and dipping sauces. Would recommend to bring a third person if ordering this meal. Place needs a little bit more staffing and pricing is on the higher side but you get your foods worth. Came with: Pork belly, beef brisket, pork shoulder, corn cheese and rice and choice of soup.
Not too bad. Good food, place is very clean and the grills are nice. A bit on the pricey side but servings are plenty when we went for 2 people. Lots of side dishes too! Squid side dish is the only one you can’t refill which makes sense since squid is expensive. The lettuce I was surprised you can only refill once. We made it work but it’s something to keep in mind when you go the first time or with more people. Corn cheese was delicious Service was great when we went in during lunch/opening!
I have been to Jung multiple times and I must say the food was absolutely fantastic! This Korean restaurant exceeded all my expectations when it comes to quality and taste, and I must say it is one of the best in Edmonton for Korean foodand I have been to lots. The quality and taste of each dish are outstanding, leaving a lasting impression on your taste buds everytime I visit. If you're a fan of Korean cuisine I highly recommend visiting this gem of a restaurant.
