The restaurant is gorgeous ! You can dine in private rooms or in the main rooms! The food is the best Korean I've had. The washrooms are not good though, they need someone to check them. They keep the door open which is not good for privacy and there are only 2 stalls. Also I was there in the late afternoon and there was no paper towels, no soap, no toilet paper.
Loved the vibes, the servers were super fast and so nice and all the food we tried was amazing! Plus pretty reasonably priced, we tried several dishes and dessert and were more than full and it came to like $33/person. Will definitely be back!!!Food: 5/5
I would have given this place 3 stars but the chairs are so uncomfortable that they drop a full star just for that. Couldn't wait to leave! They have a few booths but the waitress wouldn't let us sit in one without reservations despite the fact that we ended up eating our full meal without anyone ever showing up. For the food we ordered an appetizer of the pork dumplings which actually arrived at the same time as the food. They were pretty good so no complaints there. For the main dish I had the chicken teriyaki which was ok but quite pricey at $22. The dish was overall pretty bland and had way too many onions. So much in fact it overpowered the sauce and you could only taste onions. The portion was pretty good. The other dish we had was the kimchi soup which felt pretty small for the $17 price and was a bit too sweet. For that price we would have expected a much larger portion. Normally we would try again and order different dishes but I can't stress how much the chairs were uncomfortable so definitely wouldn't go back!
I love the look of this eatery. First time here. Was like... 40ish percent full. The staff were friendly and funny. They were also still masked up, which is still a good sight to see. The food was very hot but came out a little slow we had a party of 6 people. Took roughly 40 ish minutes to receive plates. They were very hot tho. And incredibly good portion sizes for price. One dish felt like it could feed a family of 4 LOL. I should mention vegetarian options aren't on the book menu. It's on the QR menu.
Came here after hearing good things. I love Korean food and this place has now become my go to Korean place! The food is absolutely delicious. The fried chicken is so crispy and flavourful. The japchae glass noodles were a delicious surprise. I wasn’t expecting them to be as flavourful as they were! The bulgogi udon was really tasty as well. Will definitely come back and try more things on the menu! Highly recommend if you like Korean food or just want to try something new.
Cute dine inplace semi private sections and nice lighting . Did not realize how spicy some of the foods can be but my rice roodles were super delicious and spicy !! The onion cake was so fresh . I wish their was more seafood options. They were sold out of the fruit shaved ice. Too bad we missed out on dssert.
Wonderful setting + food: the only negative thing I have to say is that the food seems a LITTLE pricy for what it is/the portion size, but honestly not by a lot. The two of us split two main dishes and honey butter bread and it was more than enough! We also had a private alcove, which was super cozy and comfortable. We ordered Army Stew 22, Dak Galbi 32, and Honey Butter Bread 43. Army Stew: very yummy but personally I wouldnt have ordered it—I sort of felt like it was similar to a simple instant ramen meal with sausage. Kind of underwhelming as a concept but it was still tasty. Dak Galbi: chicken stirfry. I really liked it! I would get it again. Both dishes came with rice cake which I very much appreciated. Dishes do appear quite small but they are still filling and well made. Honey butter bread is SOOO GOOD—perhaps its just milk bread with extra addons, but its absolutely delicious. Ethereal and angelic. Servers are nice. Use button on table for service. Clean and ambient restaurant. Good for dates and groups. Little bit on the pricy side but not excessively. Would recommend, but order food wisely.
I'm always up for a meal at Hanjan. I'm a fan of the grilled pork belly and the japchae. However they have a lot of other options that are also really tasty. I recommend saving some room for dessert and personally prefer the injeolmi waffle, but the honey butter toast is also delicious. If you do get the honey butter toast just be warned it's quite big, and definitely good for sharing!
We are from province in Manitoba, we found this restaurant online. Me and my family find there food very delicious! The place is unique, cool and very neat unlike any other korean restaurants. Also, the staffs are courteous and kind even though there are very busy.
I have been to this location multiple times but my latest visit was very disappointing. We ordered the kimchi stew and fried chicken. The kimchi stew had no spice and was very sour. It tasted like they bought the kimchi from costco and not at all homemade. The fried chicken was mediocre at best. And the cheese tteokbokki was not spicy at all. Maybe we just ordered some of their not best items but it wasnt at all this bad with my previous visits. I will say it is a little bit overpriced if what were getting is this kind of taste and portion wise. Might not comeback
