Decent selection of sewing machines but she was a bit busy to help us thoroughly. It was also messy and disorganized
The owner and staff member comes off a bit rude but I think that's just how they speak. You need a bit of patience when they're busy as they're not good at multitasking. Price for thread and hem strips are better than the other textiles stores on this strip. I haven't made a purchase for fabric here so I'm not sure how it fairs with the other stores. They sell sewing machines with warranty at reasonable prices quick Google on the Singer 1512 showed it was $50 more on Amazon and offer machine tune up.
Good quality fabric for a good price - the owner was incredibly kind to me - I will return!
Always the best for servicing my machine, a lot of places don't work with older PFAFF machines. World Sew has been a staple for me over the years.
**DO NOT BRING YOUR SEWING MACHINE IN FOR FIXING*** They stole my pedal. I brought my machine in for a fixing. When I picked it up they refused to give me back my pedal and called me a liar. I’m so angry. They did not even fix the problem on my machine and charged me and now I have no pedal and have to go find one that’s compatible. I am so very upset at these thieves!!!!! All of my projects are delayed. Dishonest people. Bad!
Extremely disappointed while trying to purchase a new machine. The showroom is tiny with a small number of machines on display, most are refurbished machines and are dusty and dirty. The machines I was told were available were not. Wasted trip.
I went here to get my Kenmore machine serviced and they did a phenomenal job. I was mainly having issues with the stitch length being uneven as well as the machine making a bunch of clunky sounds. After everything was checked and tuned up, my machine sewed smoothly and evenly. Best of all, I was told it would take 1-2 weeks, and I got a call to pick it up in 4 days. I've come here absolutely everything in the past. - Notions, fabric, parts for my machine, pattern drafting supplies, etc. The staff really knows their stuff and I am super impressed with how they are able to answer all my questions every time. It's the best place on Queen Street for beginner and expert sewers. For a much greater selection of quilting cottons, I go to Affordable Textiles at the end of the block. The store is pretty jam packed with supplies, so you may have a hard time finding things at first, but luckily the ladies are somehow able to pinpoint where everything is.
Excellent service. The lady was honestly so kind and gave me a great price on some gorgeous fabric. She helped me pick out a whole bunch of items!
My girlfriend bought a Brother machine here. Great customer service and best price in Toronto. Yes, I do agree, lady can sound rude sometimes, but it is just difference in cultures. In fact she was very helpful. If you are looking for good sewing machine for good price this is the best place, believe me. But if you prefer to pay a double price just for bigger smile and softer voice - go ahead.
Packed with product. The Asian lady is VERY helpful. I never knew 5 incg quality black elastics eve existed. Great selections of buttons very reasonably priced relative to specialty button stores. Good fabric selection too.
