Excellent first time experience! The food was amazing along with the beer. My wife and I went out for an early dinner during happy hour. The restaurant was not busy and we were able to sit at the bar. Waitress came over to check on us many times during our visit. Also, the food was hot when it came to the bar and nothing was wrong with our order nice change of pace for us. We would definitely recommend! Parking: Ample parking with a parking garage less than a 5 minute walk to the restaurant.
I had a nice experience here on a Sunday. It was fairly quiet because I went around 11am. The bartender was friendly and my beer was fantastic.
Great selection of beer and very helpful staff. They have good bar food, but as far as food in general it’s bar quality. Not bad, but not the best either. If your ok with a burger and some fries with a refreshing beer this is good for you, want something more try one of the awesome Mexican places in town.
Beer is great. Service is great. Food is awful. We wanted to go out for a nice day date with some good beer and some good food. I told my husband we could go to any place as long as it has French onion soup. So we looked at menus online and picked world of beer. Huge mistake. All I truly wanted was French onion soup. So we ordered french onion soup for me, loaded tots, Brussels, and wings. The french onion soup came out and had 1/2 inch of yellow grease as the top layer. I tried it just to confirm that I wasn't crazy. And it absolutely was grease. My husband started spooning all the oil/grease to the side for me so I could actually eat it. At this point I had to send it back to the kitchen. The staff was nice and took it off the bill. I ate a little of the Brussels but my main meal was supposed to be the soup. Brussels were great. Loaded tots and boneless wings were sub par. And also didn't hit my craving. If I knew what the onion soup was like- we would have never even came here. Now we are leaving this restaurant just to find another restaurant to fix my French onion soup craving. Waste of a 45 min drive to West Hartford. And waste of ordering all the other food seeing as how we still have to go to another restaurant. Will come back here if I am in the area and want to drink. Will never come back and order food. Not worth the money or the drive.
It was my first time coming here and I was actually very impressed!! It was on a Tuesday night so the environment was alittle more dead then I was hoping for but the food was amazing and the drink I got I can definitely say is my favorite drink anywhere it was called the pink melonade definitely gotta try it :
I expected a much much larger selection of beers at a place called world of beers. Instead it was just an average bunch of draft beers, and as is typical nowadays most of them were IPA bears. When are bartenders and owners going to learn that not everybody likes IPA beers? We also got some food, and it was just average at best.Food: 1/5
Ridiculous selection of beers and an expanded cocktail menu for those not into beer. A must have is the giant pretzel and beer cheese! Great place for drinks and food. Wheelchair accessibility: First floor business and some low tables.
Love it here! Christopher the server was swearing at us because we needed to split a few checks. I understand splitting checks can be a pain but I never think it is acceptable to swear at customers.
I get it, it's blue back square so the place gets crowded real fast on evenings and weekends. But there has to be a way to design the interior layout more efficiently to accommodate more people. Apart from that, the staff has always been very friendly, quick, and polite. This is actually a great spot to watch soccer games on Saturday and Sunday mornings. I wish the draft list was rotated more often though. Happy hour prices are very reasonable.
