I recently had the pleasure of attending a Chef's Table experience with Chef Nick at Woodshed Burgers, and I must say, it exceeded all our expectations. While Woodshed Burgers is known for their delicious burgers and beer, the Chef's Table menu showcased a whole new level of culinary creativity. From the moment we walked in, Iwe were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance. Chef Nick's passion for his craft was evident as he personally introduced each course and shared the inspiration behind his creations. The menu was a delightful departure from the typical burger fare. It featured an array of carefully curated dishes that showcased Chef Nick's culinary expertise. Each course was a masterpiece, bursting with flavors. To complement the fantastic food, the beverage pairings were carefully selected, showcasing a range of flavors and textures that enhanced each dish. Overall, the Chef's Table experience at Woodshed Burgers with Chef Nick was an unforgettable culinary journey. It was a refreshing departure from the expected, with a menu that showcased the chef's talent and creativity beyond just burgers and beer. If you're looking for a unique dining experience that celebrates the art of gastronomy, I highly recommend indulging in Chef Nick's Chef's Table.
My 3rd time here so you know it's good. If you're used to fast food, this is like gourmet Brazilian steakhouse level for burgers. If you're used to fresh made burgers you might not be as impressed. I even brought my family here because inside it's pretty nice low key chill spot. Best part is it's Gluten-free owner is celiac so you can request it fully gluten free grill, bun and all, which is hard enough to find and allows me to come here with friends and we can all enjoy a good meal. I'm a nutrition student, but even I like a good burger once and a while and they even have healthier salmon or turkey burgers. Price is good for the quality IMO and I'll definitely be coming here again. Almost ate the whole burger before taking a picture cuz I was so hungry only reason I gave it 4 stars was because a/c was a bit too cold inside, server took a while to take our order and didn't refill our water right away. Wait time was average for fresh burgers. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free buns. Celiac safe.
Got myself into a calorie overload but what the heck. I got the Juicy Lucy, poutine and salted caramel shake. The bun was very good, so good that it almost overpowered everything else on the burger. So that was my only complaint, while the thing did have a good flavour, it felt almost more like eating a sandwich because the burger patty was small and kind of got lost with the rest of it. The poutine and gravy was very good, the fries had a good crisp. The shake was also very tasty and was sad when it was over but my waistline had had enough anyway. The service was very good but it was late afternoon and pretty quiet. Cool vibe and decor. After tip was like $40…needless to say I was full until the next day!
Great little place. We had the Ben burger in honor of Ben Stelter since every $1 goes to his fund. We also had their chicken burger special. Both very tasty. Chicken was perfectly done, not dry at all. The hidden gem here is their selection of beers and other alcohol drinks. Always something different when we come in. Love the local selections as well. Service was prompt and friendly too.
Woodshed had what I guess was a pop-up on the West end serving just burgers and hotdogs in a strip mall parking lot - I was really happy with the cheeseburger with smoked cheddar, it was very tasty! The staff that they had there were really friendly and quick to acknowledge customers as they came up, even if they were already helping other customers. I’ll have to go to one of their locations to try other things on their menu the shakes sound amazing.
An absolutely delicious burger the "Juicy Lucy", spicy fries, great service, and friendly staff. Plus, a great piece of cheesecake for our anniversary.Food: 5/5
This weekend I had the absolute pleasure of eating at woodshed burgers on 124th Street 107 Avenue. Upon arriving I was happily greeted at the door and given a smile. The atmosphere while rustic was very clean and displayed a lot of artwork and proprietary products ready for sale all arranged in a pleasing manner. Was very surprised that they are also a licensed establishment, to have the choice of having a drink with your meal is nice. All the staff seemed very friendly and once we let them know this is our first time they actually walked us through the menu and let us know about a special they had on that day. We decided to go with a special with two juicy Lucy burgers loaded with a bucket of poutine and a caramel shake and the top it all off a homemade baked cheesecake. Our order was brought to us promptly and looked very appetizing, our shake was creamy, very flavorful and now is probably one of our favorite. The burgers were simply amazing, thick cut bacon, melted cheese, fresh toppings and believe it or not served with homemade mayonnaise and homemade ketchup served on a fresh homemade buns sourced just for the restaurant, kudos for that!!!! The burger was absolutely delicious as they are made with fresh ground beef done on the premises and smashed and the patties were rendered perfectly. I have never had a burger hit me with so many flavors at once and they all hit home. The poutine was simply amazing as it was done with fresh cut fries and homemade gluten-free gravy with a generous amount of courage cheese layered from top to bottom which is simply unheard of in any other restaurant I've been to. This has been the only poutine that right down to the bottom I still had gravy and lots of cheese hats off for this as it is the best tasting poutine I have ever had all across Canada. To finish everything all off we had the baked cheesecake which you could tell was done to perfection. The cheesecake was moist yet firm and very flavorful, the crust followed the cheesecake right up the side and was very tasty and was topped with fresh fruit and drizzle and I believe the only way this cake could be made better is with a butterscotch ripple ice cream but besides that it was a great way to finish off our meal. From the outside you would never expect this place to offer such an experience to a customer but it's true, they make the experience well worth the drive for us from the North end to their store. From the time we got there until the time we left we felt welcomed and knew that they cared about their customers and their image as you could see the pride and everything they served us and the professionalism from our servers to the kitchen staff was top notch. The price point of the food is on par with the services that they offer and I highly recommend woodshed burgers to anyone who has not had the pleasure of visiting them to go try them out. Great job guys and don't change because that is what makes you unique. I can't wait to come back down and try out other items on your menu. I give this a rating of 9.3 out of 10 on the munch meter. A must visit!!!
It was so good, we went back a second time on our weekend visit. This fast casual place has everything I want in a classic burger. The bun is golden, washed with egg and dusted with sesame seeds gluten free or lettuce wrap available. The toppings were fresh and generous - no insipid tomatoes or limp lettuce here! The ground chuck patty is super tasty, and thick enough to hold up to all the burger trimmings. Service is quick and friendly. Walk up to the counter to order and then sit down. Your order will be delivered soon. The kids felt welcome. We ordered an ice cream sandwich, then went back to the counter to ask for it to be halved. It was done with a . Vegetarian options: A portabello mushroom burger is their best offer for vegetarians, and a fish burger for pescatarians. Kid-friendliness: Family friendly games are available! Staff are kind to kids. And we saw the staff make room for a pair of strollers because it wasn't busy that afternoon. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is accessible, with one large bathroom and one small. The staff prefer to rearrange the tables, so ask for help instead of moving furniture.
Had the juicy lucy. Burger that comes with beef, lettuce, tomatoe, pickle and sauce. Bun was pretty good, meat tasted over cooked and with the lettuce was very soggy. As a pub burger or restaraunt chain burger it's fine. However alot of edmonton blogs and posts have it as a top burger in Edmonton which I would disagree with. Service was good and the wallpaper/paint design of the restaraunt was very cool.
Food was amazing. Service was great and the atmosphere was quite chill. Overall, the experience and price of food are worth it to my family. We enjoyed our brief visit and devoured our meals. Give this burger joint a shot. It'll have you dancing off your stoolFood: 5/5
