I had the best experience there today with the nurse practitioner on duty! I arrived ahead of my appointment time and was done 2 minutes after what should have been my actual appointment time! She diagnosed me and I was out there for in minutes which means a lot when you feel miserable! I didn’t get her name but she was fantastic!
Stay away from Dr. Nasser Ghassemi FirouzabadinI have been going to The Woodlawn medical clinic for my entire life. Which is over 40 years now. I had the same Doctor for decades up until he retired a few years ago. My replacement doctor, Dr. Nasser Ghassemi Firouzabadi. Comes across as a nice guy but he has no interest in actually listening to his patients. I waited for years for a referral to see a specialist and it turns out that he sent me to the wrong specialist and I have been put on another wait list. On top of that he prescribed me the wrong medication and when I expressed that it's not working, his response was to tell me I could find another doctor if I wanted. This man is highly unprofessional and if it can be avoided, stay away from him. He's making people sicker. He's done other questionable things to me that I won't repeat here in fear of losing a doctorn Which I assume he's aware of and is probably why he thinks he can get away with this behaviornHe has even refused to tell me how to properly pronounce his name.nDr. Nasser Ghassemi Firouzabadi.
I have a very bad experience today. I just came out from the clinic and the lady was not cooperative at all. She even didn’t listen to me what I am saying what I’m trying to say she was rude. I hardly book my appointment and when I went there, I mention her that I talked to MSI and they told me if there is any issue regarding my health card. The clinic can call them, but it was because of the timing she couldn’t call which what wasn’t my mistake. As i got the appointment for 7:20pm. Whatever the MSI department told me I told to her, and she was very rude while talking.
I really enjoy going to this all-encompassing clinic. I have received many services/procedures in different blocks and have found all the staff to be very friendly and communicative. Special shout out to Dr Carla MacDonald who is super attentive, thorough and personable :
At no fault to the over worked and under staffed clinic for having some problems, it’s a provincial issue really.nIve been going to this clinic basically my entire life, and have had absolutely wonderful doctors here, with great and efficient services almost every single time.nWhen I could have a doctor.nnMy family doctor has changed more times than I can count in the last 10 years and makes it really difficult to get appointments.nThis time around they haven’t found a replacement, and I don’t know if they just gave up? Or what. But I’ve been without a gp for about a year lucky me that its ONLY been a year. Makes me feel I don’t deserve to complain, you know ?nnI was allowed to see the duty clinic for a number of months, but I don’t know if they extended that. As I was told you need a gp to access the duty clinic? Now with Tacoma family medicine no longer accepting walk in’s, it’s gonna have even more strain on this system.nnIf you are waiting over 20 minutes on the phone, the duty clinic has often already filled their spots for the day, and won’t schedule next day appointments. I remember having to call daily for a week straight one time.nnWenNeednMorenDoctors
