Story

We are a small animal hospital dedicated to providing health care primarily to cats and dogs. We are also home to the Valley WAAG Animal Shelter which rescues stray, feral, unwanted cats and provides for their needs until their new forever homes are found.

Very friendly staff and they always try their best to get you in within a reasonable time. They're overworked and deserve some recognition for their hard work. Thank you for all that you have done for us and our boys. One of our boys, Memphis had to be given his wings and they were terrific throughout the whole process. They sent us a paw and nose print saying he was loved from his nose to his toes. It will be forever on our walls
They took our sick cat in the same day and helped explain his situation to us in a kind and orderly fashion. They recommended treatment and told us the price before we agreed to any shots or medicine. Our cat, Kit Kat, seemed comfortable and liked the doctor very much. Thank you
We found this little guy, left for dead by a hit and run. Natasha came in after hours, on a Friday and saved his life. We didn't get to adopt him .. but I understand he is living his best life with a new family.
We had to take our Molly in on Good Friday for what we thought was a medical emergency we could solve out there. Sadly our lovely girl had to cross over. Natasha and her colleague were so compassionate , honest and patient throughout the many tests. Afterwards, we received the most beautiful card with her nose and paw print that we will cherish forever. How thoughtful! Amazing staff! Amazing and compassionate team. On top of that Dr Natasha really knows how to handle my nervous cat, it seems like she's known him longer than me I fully trust them to my cat's wellbeing!
We are so grateful our puppy was in the care of Wolfville Animal Hospital for Parker’s little life here on earth. Doctors Natasha, Heather, and staff, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything. With each and every phone call, visit and email we felt so much support. You are all so kind and caring. We have such admiration for the dedication you have for animals in your care. I've had 2 Appointments at a cost of roughly $175-$200 per appointment. I was told my cat had an ear infection. They prescribed me ear drops for $80, I later found those exact same ear drops for $25 on multiple Canadian websites. When the prescription had been completely used the cat still had an ear infection. Because I was out of town the following few months and unable to make it back immediately, I was told I would have to make ANOTHER appointment and Wolfville Animal Hospital refused to write me another prescription for the ear drops otherwise. I am now forced to either pay an additional $125ish plus FOR A THIRD APPOINTMENT plus the cost of the ear drops themselves despite the fact this has already been diagnosed and treated and can be confirmed again in about 30 seconds of diagnosis. I explained that I cannot afford to spend another $175 to have my cat re-diagnosed when the treatment was proven to be effective but was simply not written for long enough. Unfortunately Wolfville Animal Hospital does not want to make ANY reasonable accommodations and therefore I am now trying to decide if I will go without basic necessities for the next month or two or if my cat will suffer. You want to take your animals to someone who is understanding, compassionate, and reasonable. I can't say Wolfville Animal Hospital has been any of these things. When I asked to speak with the owner or a manager I was told "they will give me a call sometime this week" and that "they're very busy so I'm not sure when they will get around to it."
Took my cat Ringo today for his New Patient Exam. Dr. Cairns helped keep my boy as comfortable in her care as possible, as he does get nervous around people. She educated me on his previous bloodwork levels and explained what they meant. She also called me the same day to go over bloodwork results as she did have a free moment at that time. Would definitely recommend this vet hospital! Thank you for taking care of my boy!
I was so nervous bringing myy kitty in for help but the ladies here were so wonderful. Thank you for making us all feel comfortable the gang will be back later
I called Wolfville Animal Hospital in the morning worried about my cat and they got me in that afternoon. Dr. Heather was the absolute nicest person. She was so kind and caring. She explained things to me without me having to ask which I really appreciated and she took the time to speak with me. The reception staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful. I didn’t feel rushed and was so well taken care of. I am so thankful
